I believe it will.

Most of our rivals will have caught up in terms of games played in this period. It also see's us play some very hard games with teams in and around us, whilst those same teams play relegation sides (nainly Leeds in their next two games). If Latics do well in their next 5, say taking 10 points that will see us into the play off's I reckon.

What do the members of OWTB think our points haul will be along with the other sides down to Tranmere from those fixtures above.

I agree - tI said the same thing, on friday. If we take 7 points from yeovil, bristol rovers and colchester - 2 draws against Leeds and Millwall will be fine. Anything less than 7 and IMO we will have to win at least one of those.

I'd guess at:

Yeovil v Oldham draw

Oldham v Bristol Rovers win

Millwall v Oldham loss

Oldham v Leeds draw

Oldham v Colchester draw

I still think someone will fall away, and someone come good (probably DirtyLeeds). Hopefully not us though.

I think we'll win them all.

what, again?

Yes, at some point in time a definitive moment is reached. I believe if we do poor in this sequence of games it will signal our failure to make the play off's where as if we do really well it will put us in there come the end of the season. That brother is a definitive moment. You are free to disagree.

I've predicted 4 points from out next three games - even with this mediocre return, we're still on for a top 6 finish. Anything else is er, a bonus! In fact by my reckoning we're one point in front of target as it is with the draw at Leicester.

Leicester v Oldham 0 (1)

Oldham v Northampton 3 (3)

Yeovil v Oldham 1

Oldham v Bristol 3

Millwall v Oldham 0

Oldham v Leeds 1

Oldham v Colchester 3

MK v Oldham 0

Oldham v Tranmere 3

Cheltenham v Oldham 1

Leyton v Oldham 1

Oldham v Peterboro 1

Carlisle v Oldham 1

Oldham v Crewe 3

Brighton v Oldham 1

Oldham v Southend 1

Walsall v Oldham 3

We should be looking at winning every home game between now and the end of the season. I'm not saying we will...but every game is very winnable. Do that and we'll be fine.

Lags is right though, this is a massive period. That said, even bigger is the three day period where we play Wall and Leeds. If we can beat both of them, it will really pull us away and will effectively KO one of Wall's games in hand. Lose both, and we're in trouble.

We have some massive games to go, five of the top 7 apart from us still to play. Can't wait.

Its still not these games I'm worried about though. The top 6 wil all take points off each other, so these games I look at wth a pinch of salt. With the top 8 pretty much pulling a way, a draw is a good result in these games, purely as no ground is gained...

Still by far the most important, and challeging for me is brizzle and yeovil. If we can get 6 points from these two, it takes so much pressure off... then we can afford to drop points in the next three...

We simply have to find form against the mediocre teams, just like our rivals have.

I've said for a long time, Hudds are the dark horses here. I still dont rate millwall, and think they will drop out... leaving 5th & 6th place for me, a straight battle between ourselves, 'Udds, and Leeds.

As long as we are in there, that is going tos et up one hell of a potential wembley final.

:)

Although agreeing with what you are saying, that last bit is bollocks. See yesterday.

So are you saying yesterday was a normal set of results? I cant remember too many times a Scunthorpe or a Peterboro dropping points against such lowly opposition.

Away form againt these teams is especially worrying. I'm sure you can agree with that (swindon, Brizzle, hereford etc...). Scunny skanked a win at yeovil. We need to start doing the same.

I think Scunny are good against crap opposition. Other than that the rest have cocked it up against crap teams as well. Although I stand to be corrected.

NB. Brief moment to go on Soccerbase.... Peterborough have not beaten Southend, Hartlepool, Northampton, Tranmere (twice), Dagenham, Carlisle, Brighton, Crewe and Yeovil. Hardly top of the table stuff.

regularly reading this board, it just seems we've been through more "defining" moments/runs of matches alread y this season than we have left backs.

We were top this time two seasons ago with only 58 pts before the effect of a threadbare squad kicked in. This time around the squad looks more able to cope......fingers crossed. Win half our games from here and I reckon we would be unlucky not to have a playoff spot.

Yeovil are the form team at the moment - be happy taking a point there.
