It was very right at the time, but time for something unique to Latics

I'll dig out the thread, but this was mentinoed quite some time ago, near the start of the season IIRC. It apprears on their homepage, somehing that has not happened on ours though. Rocky_Latic
The more interesting thing is what are you doing on a 'dale site, Mark. Dale's motto isnt 'keep the faith'. It's Credo Signo' which means Believe in the sign. By the way. For anyone stuck for something to do. Under 16's can get into Spotland for a quid on Tuesday night. Corporal_Jones
I've always hated the Keep the Faith motto. It seemed increasingly hollow the more our post-1994 failures mounted up. Faith in what exactly?

Markoasis
The more interesting thing is what are you doing on a 'dale site, Mark. ...... researching something on Ernie and it came up with this sorry site (Dales OB)!!! Why would I have any other reason to visit it.
jimsleftfoot
I'll agree with you on that. It's corny. What Keep the Faith means to me. First muttered by Joe Royle in 1994 (not sure if used prior to this) in the same interview where he said he would rather us stay up than win the FA Cup. We did neither. Motivational Speakers take note. Having to play 4 games in the last 8 days of the Premiership. Stott and JW Lees lack of enthusiasm for getting back into the top league and selling off the family china. Royle leaving. Sharp being appointed as manager despite a bin bag having better leadership skills. Ritchie being shoved out the back door. The Hyppia incident. Relegation to league 1 Stop the rot campaign (not keeping the faith) Chris Moore flashing his wares infront of us, the fans falling for the false messiah hook line and sinker and then him pulling the rug from beneath us whilst slapping us in the face with a wet kipper, nearly causing the early demise of Oldham Athletic. Being the longest serving resident in League 1. So no, not a big fan really. JLF – GIVING 99% IS NEVER ENOUGH
monkeykieran
I never realised we were the longest resident in this league, thats ****
