oafc0000
You weren't making sense when you relied on the wikipedia definition of a CEO to apply to AH at Latics. Or any club for that matter. WE all realise that a CEO in football is different to a CEO in a standard business. YOU don't seem to have the ability to understand the difference. You just seem to have started to make a point that made no sense at all and do not have the grace / self confidence / self awareness to realise that you made a mistake and need to admit it and give up on this point. Tedious in the very extreme. No I am jjust generally confused how being a CEO of a football club is different than any other business.... Ok, try *thinking* about this:- Who earns more: David Gill or Alex Ferguson. Now find a company where an employee earns more than the CEO. Then find one where the "lower" employees earn more than either the CEO or the, erm, what shall we call him? Managing Director? Tricky? leeslover
I think Alan should call Corney into his office and tell him to pull his finger out. As well as giving Corney the fear of a kicking off the boss that he needs, it will let Blitz know that he can't be confident in his position in the board unless Alan pulls his weight. The only regretable thing about all this is that Alan could be using the time he would otherwise have spent sleeping upside down with his legs hooked over the rafters of his office or enjoying a relaxing Plasma Martini and return stronger, instead of dealing with his underlings. Crusoe
Blaming Alan Hardy for hiring decisions is like blaming a civil servant for government policy. It might feel satisfying to vent, but it's ultimately pointless. Hardy implements the decisions the owners make.
