drphibes rises again
That slogan is to much like we are Leeds for me. And while they are modernising the place they might want to get some disabled access to the shop instead of wheelchair users having to shop from the footpath !! It is a good start in the right direction, one step at a time. Have you mentioned the disabled access to the club? I am pretty sure they legally cannot restrict access so there may be a removable ramp they have inside for use.

Never thought about it before but the shop has been there years and there has been no wheelchair access all that time. Not good at all to shop from outside the door. At last! Small changes can make a big difference.

Hometownclub
Very true, do they have a removable ramp? Haven't a clue, but a decent joiner could knock one up in next to no time.

drphibes rises again
The issue of access to the shop has been brought up in the past and the cost of a ramp etc was said to be to high for work to be carried out. No idea if they have a temp ramp now but in years gone by the did not.

AndyP
This new marketing manager, any chance of him putting his boots on and sorting and playing centre mid on Saturday he might just turn out better than the current crop of 5h1te we have! th2003
If they have a removable ramp then they do have disabled access as many other shops and businesses do. I think the Disability Discrimination Act states that businesses have to make 'reasonable adjustments'. A removable ramp sounds reasonable to me. martjs
New club shop name and frontage to boot ... now up in glorious colour on the fishul !!!! I like it link........................................ That's fantastique! Are they going to put some stock on the shelves as well? I went in there in the summer to get a Latics t-shirt for a "fan" over here and there was hardly (Hardy?) anything worth buying. Shocking lack of ambition! I went in there in the summer to get a Latics t-shirt for a "fan" over here and there was hardly (Hardy?) anything worth buying. Shocking lack of ambition! There's a nostalgic picture in the shop window of players celebrating a goal. Makes you weep.
RobOAFC
While its great that the club is doing this, i can ask why? we are to be moving stadiums in the next couple of years so why are we re-doing the club shop?
