BP1960
I wonder what the possibilities are of Latics arranging a friendly for Saturday away from home against a club with no game and not affected by the weather conditions ? Diego_Sideburns
Durham City have a plastic pitch. We've been told that while trainng on such a surface, it has not been good for our older players. At least next week they should be able to find some grass on which to train in the build-up to the Tranmere game.

Latics_Al
I think you will find that the correct term is "challenge match" under the current regime.

In tonight's rarely wrong Chron DP says “I emailed or telephoned everyone in the country to see if they would play us behind closed doors. But there was nowhere fit to play, which was frustrating.”

Diego_Sideburns
Then why ring them up if there was no where fit to play? To prove he's not psychic.
LaticsPete
Then why ring them up if there was no where fit to play? Perhaps thinking that their ground might be playable?
