NIKI1234
BBC Weather Linky -4 overnight +1 daytime = no chance of being played. Assuming the forecast is accurate. Even with double the amount frost covers?
opinions4u
Even with double the amount frost covers? Pitch will start freezing as soon as the covers are removed.
NIKI1234
Pitch will start freezing as soon as the covers are removed. Ah sh*t! Even if we remove on saturday morning at +1 degrees??? I dont want to drive 4 hours to find it called off at last minute
mattyg101
I dont really care if its called off, we'll do em whenever we play them. I just hope if it IS called off then they do it before i bloody set off!!!

beag_teeets
I hope they are sensible and call it off tomorrow if it is going to be off. I don't want to have to dig out the Arctic weather gear to just sit in a traffic jam after 10 minutes of play.
pukka
Pitch inspection at 12 would be fair
oldhamains
I think it will be on, last year 19th dec vs Shrewsbury was on when every other match in the football league was off. If they do every thing right there should be no problems.
Diego_Sideburns
Pitch inspection at 12 would be fair Not for those planning to drive for over two hours to get to Rochdale for 12 noon for refreshment before driving home at 5:00pm. dkenyonqfc2
They are only selling the tickets that were refunded, so any unclaimed tickets due to loss of stubs etc will result in an empty seat i believe maybe not as there wasnt enough seats for the ticket holders last time
RobOAFC
So long as they call it off nice and early (Friday for instance would be great). Last time was just a bit of a drizzle to get through. This time is likely to be snow and ice which could be a bit more problematic. When most games were called off last season, they managed to get theirs on, after shifting massive amounts of snow. Double/Triple covers it should be on, aslong as the planks dont water the pitch (unless they have some anti-freeze stuff in?) Should have pitch inspection at about 12:30pm / 1pm if needed after removal of covers.
HarryBosch
Ah sh*t! Even if we remove on saturday morning at +1 degrees??? I dont want to drive 4 hours to find it called off at last minute drive faster then.

Diego_Sideburns
Should have pitch inspection at about 12:30pm / 1pm if needed after removal of covers. That's OK for the local lapsed and waverers who were at Goodison Park, but what about the supporters who travel from all over the country? terry tibbs
maybe not as there wasnt enough seats for the ticket holders last time returned tickets yesterday cos can't make it on saturday (o4u give us a pm if you are interested in buying a car)
opinions4u
not at +1 it wont do. I'll rephrase it. If it's been -4 overnight, while covers will keep the frost off the pitch will still be frozen. If the maximum temperature during the day is +1 then the pitch has no chance of being playable. We're relying on the temperature forcast being wrong for the game to be played.

Lee Sinnott
When I wake up on Saturday, I will go into my garden and inspect the grass. If my garden is frozen, I'm going back to bed. If it's not then a quick shower and off to the Regal Moon I go.
NIKI1234
That's OK for the local lapsed and waverers who were at Goodison Park, but what about the supporters who travel from all over the country? exactly! i along with 3 others will be leaving at 9.30am
Diego_Sideburns
So have I got it right? There were 3,200 tickets sold originally. 2,000 swapped for new tickets. 200 tickets were returned for refunds and resold. 1,000 failed to swap for a new ticket. Therefore the away support on Saturday will be approx 2,200.
RobOAFC
That's OK for the local lapsed and waverers who were at Goodison Park, but what about the supporters who travel from all over the country? Well it'd definitely be an improvement from when it got called off few weeks ago Call it off before 1 then their will be moans about saying not given time to unfreeze, could of had more time to get it unfreezed etc etc.. just the way it is really,
