opinions4u
Perhaps we should go for a 6,000 seater stadium in Manchester instead!
Takemeanywhere
Perhaps we should go for a 6,000 seater stadium in Manchester instead! You wouldn't even need 2,000 seats if the club was moved to Manchester...
oafcprozac
Scum have just received planning approval for their stadium in Newton Heath. Amazing, isn't it?... Granted by Manchester City Council, not the inbred, self-serving, short-sighted bunch of clampits up at the civic Centre we have to go cap in hand to. They're also being transparent over how their stadium will be funded and allowed to become a reality. Still, the model looked ok and 6 days since the decision was supposedly relayed back, and not a jot of info....
beag_teeets
To be fair, if you asked for permission to build a prison, a home for paedophiles, kleptomaniacs and a sulphur mine in Newton Heath it would be passed as it would bring massive improvements to the area. So you are saying we should apply to build our new ground in Shaw?

Takemeanywhere
A pointless ground for a pointless club. They have actually amassed 18 points from 14 games so far this season but I take your point(less). Come on Brighton!

I don't think you can compare the level of transparency given that FC United don't actually have the funding to build the stadium, they are raising this through a community share scheme which would only work if it has that level of Transparency. Lets hope Brighton Tonk them so that they don't get any more FA Cup Monies. Edited November 26, 2010 by jimsleftfoot
OldhamSheridan
Am I the only one thinking this might end up our home ground in a few years?
Yard Dog
After Mcr City Council withdrew financial backing for the Newton Heath site, FC Utd quickly set their sites on land in Moston. But seems like some of the local residents are unhappy -----> http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/news/s/1418289_offside-moston-residents-in-bid-to-block-fc-united-stadium-bid
