Forte_Baby
Starts on Sat Ivory Coast the favourates Tunisia,Morocco and Ghana will fancy there chances. My tip is Senegal a far younger team more players in European leagues. Cameroon, holders Egypt, Nigeria and South Africa all failed to qualify. Mali, and Zambia could be dark horses. Hosts Gabon and Eq Guinea are both two of the weakest sides in Africa and the FIFA rankings. Fixtures and tables for the qualifiers for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. OldhamSheridan
It's on British Eurosport this year apparently. Come on Ivory Coast. No real like for them but I'm being chased down by a team with Yaya Toure in it in t'Fantasy football, so the longer he is out the better. Forte_Baby
Well Senegal are out just when they score an 89th-minute equaliser before Equatorial Guinea got a injury time winner. Did say Zambia could be a dark horse.

Forte_Baby
Got to love the winning pen taker singing as he steps up As i said on Facebook to people in a weekend where most people where looking at Suarez and Evra nice to see a team go out and win it in such a wonderful manner even if it was on pens. The singing, the praying.
beag_teeets
The only bit I saw of this whole competition was the last 25 mins of extra time and the pens. I was cheering on Zambia as a few of my relatives used to live out there in a White Mischief kind of way plus Ivory Coast thought they "should" win it. To be fair to IC, going all the way to the final without conceding a goal is an achievement but you then have to win the final too. I thought my boys had done it with the retaken pen, why that was re-taken is beyond me, (fix?) so when Kolo missed his I was even praying to their god! Plus, their manager was excellent! You couldn't write a script like that. Film waiting to be made.

Very true, Mweene didn't just score, he did the other lad well and proper, I've seen strikers unable to sell a dummy as well as he did. That was a proper penalty, even more so considering the importance of the match.
