Apparently they have asked for fans to help clear the snow off the covers this afternoon and there is a pitch inspection organised for tomorrow morning.

The forecast is for it not to freeze tonight so I guess it is all down to whether the covers have done their job.

I just hope they make an early call.

The article on our official site says that they expect the pitch to be perfectly playable, although they have concerns about the areas surrounding the stadium. Fingers crossed eh...

Find it hard to believe it's going to be fit from 20 miles away

I can't believe they have cleared the snow off the covers today. Why not leave it until first thing tomorrow morning? (especially if they are saying that the pitch is fine underneath). It will probably have frozen by morning!!

Text off a friend who lives close to the town he's been down to help clear snow off covers, reckons the pitch is perfect and immediate access to ground is no problem judging by plenty of people that turned up in cars to help.

Heres hoping for plus degrees temperatures tonight.

Yes fingers crossed!!

Well it's a heck of a sight warmer than it was. This chap's not optimistic re our prospects though:

Do they know something; 3-5-2 formation ?

Not beyond the realms of possibility as it's one way of fitting in Mvoto, Diamond and Tarky I suppose.

We know it won't the case though - don't we ?

As we await the verdict on whether the match goes ahead, my mind goes back to the days when Latics were in the Fourth Division. In a winter of deep snow when hardly any games were played, Boundary Park was the only pitch playable in the North West, thanks to the method adopted by St. Neots Town FC last Friday.

However, there was a sting in the tail on Saturday.

Well, he's predicting Nathan Clarke will start, so I think we can comfortably discard it as bull:censored:.

'Stevenage Borough is in steady status recently, and it is commendable on home field; Oldham Athletic got no single win in recent 6 games and lost 4 times, it has been in the depressed stastus, Oldham Athletic doom to die this time.'

What?
