As far has I know the money handed over was towards Leon Clark coming however, when this didn't materialise it went towards the other signings. Personally I wasn't best pleased the fund wasn't asked for that to happen. No doubt had they asked then most likely it would have been approved, but it's nice to be asked. The money raised from this campaign (and all the PlayerShare WebShop purchases) gets paid directly in to the PlayerShare account. My understanding is that the PlayerShare committee then decide when to hand the money over for the manager to spend. From memory they did this in July, releasing about £9k for something extra. Heard the same, it was initially earmarked for Clarke when that stalled the £9k was then used towards ensuring Wes got the deal he wanted, a bit towards Croft and whatever was left was added to Montano's package…. I appreciate if rather not say though I don't know about the overall PlayerShare accounts, not operated by me - I just do the WebShop thing and all the proceeds go straight to the PlayerShare bank account when Spendandraise pay up (it never touches my hands - you spend, commission come in and automatically gets sent to PlayerShare). I assume the main PlayerShare account was emptied in July though. I will continue to report what's being paid from PlayerShare WebShop to PlayerShare on these pages. Since February last year £429.71 has been paid to the PlayerShare account from PlayerShare WebShop. A further £1,497.41 is due to be sent to the main PlayerShare account over the next 3 months (mainly from this Secret Escapes campaign). I'm expecting the first £23.25 to go at the end of the week and then the rest to go at the beginning of October. If not, November. With a little more thought when shopping online I reckon PlayerShare WebShop could probably achieve 10 times the commission it was earning prior to the Secret Escapes campaign. People forget to use it though. If we can solve that, we can make a lot more!
