Barnsley are at the lower end of the spectrum in a very tough an competitive league. As if you wouldn't take Hill of Dickov at the minute. In all seriousness one look at their squad tells you that staying in the Championship is a big achievement, he did that last time and may well have done so again. Still think the most he will achieve with the club in its current state is league 1 football but league 2 football is now a real threat. January will be the a big month for Mr Corney. SoD was manager at Crawley at the start of the season. Billy Davies has been out of work for nearly 3 years Seems to me that either could well be an option. Hill could be more problematic in the short term as he will have to sort out compo with Barnsley beofre we could appoint him or he risks losing a payout. Dickov's only good points are his contacts. You can bet Hill will know the decent players that may be availiable on a budget like ours. Barnsley is an almost impossible job. Budget cut quite drastically end of the 2010/11 season, thought to be the reason why Robins left. And those average League 1 players finished 3 points outside the playoffs and 8 places above us in the table.
