In fact I wish he would, as quickly as possible and then my mind is at ease. You do get very defensive over Simpson, have you got something to tell us? But wasn't the reason that he went was because he was confident he could get a better deal elsewhere as well as us telling him we wouldn't be able to come close to the wage he was on in his previous contract? Lags Posted July 11, 2013 Share Posted July 11, 2013 (edited) At the awards night I had a quick chat with Robbie, the reason he gave me was that last season he took a cut to stay at Latics and wasn't prepared to accept another further cut in wages this season. Like I posted elsewhere, I feel the problem with Robbie is the fact prior to coming to Latics he was given a deal way above his ability. Unfortunately he still wants it!
