Monty Burns
Januzaj should never play for England and I am glad that Wilshere said it. I also agree with Harry about kids that go through the English school system being eligible to play for England, regardless of where their parents and grandparents were born. In fact, I think that they are.
Monty Burns
I didn't know Mo Farrah had a British parent, is that really true?
jsslatic
Rather than a naturalisation rule of five years post-18, I feel a better rule would be five years pre-18.
opinions4u
Rather than a naturalisation rule of five years post-18, I feel a better rule would be five years pre-18. Or a 15 year rule from arrival in a country.
Ackey
Rather than a naturalisation rule of five years post-18, I feel a better rule would be five years pre-18. EU laws on child labour would likely kick the piss out of that I'd guess?
jimsleftfoot
Rather than a naturalisation rule of five years post-18, I feel a better rule would be five years pre-18. The naturisation rule is linked to becoming a British Citizen. You have to be over 18 to apply for citizenship but the residency period can be before they are 18. jsslatic
EU laws on child labour would likely kick the piss out of that I'd guess? Not saying work pre-18, just lived here. You may be making another point I'm missing though. The naturisation rule is linked to becoming a British Citizen. You have to be over 18 to apply for citizenship but the residency period can be before they are 18. So in that case there's no problem, here for five years before you're 18 and when you're 18 you can apply and play for the national team if you're picked and willing. dave_ragg1984
Rather than a naturalisation rule of five years post-18, I feel a better rule would be five years pre-18. That's the rule the home nations all abide by at the moment.

spadam
He's spot on unless he's born here or lived in England though childhood then I don't think he should for play for England.
