24hoursfromtulsehill
Roy's got every right to say what he said at half time AND every right to expect no one outside the dressing room to know. The bellend is the player who leaked it. I sincerely hope Roy has a little surprise in store for that individual when it comes to naming the final 23. PhilStarbucksSilkySkills
Roy has the most scrutinised job in English football and it's the media's job to bull:censored: at every point. Just something that could've been well avoided. Only in hindsight. I think Roy has every right to expect people in the media not to act like petulant 12 year olds over something that is clearly innocuous. It is not his job to second guess his well intentioned team talks to such a degree.
garcon
I would far rather Roy was concentrating on how to secure a vital win rather than having to worry about whether he can use the word monkey in the same room as some black people. pk200
It was eqivalent to me (oap) trying to relate to some of the younger generation of posters on these forums.
GlossopLatic
The good thing to come out of this non story has been the fact it has taken away the focus on England qualifying for the World Cup and playing very well in both qualifiers and Townsend himself being outstanding in both games. If it wasn't for this we would now be bigging Townsend up to be the saviour of English football which of course would be unfair so every cloud and all that. longtimeblue
That miserable fart is paid enough and is old enough to know he shouldn't even go near that area. It'd have been dodgier if he'd resisted telling the :censored: joke halfway through on the basis he thought it might offend the black players. It could be argued that anyone who interpreted it to have a racial element is at fault whereas Hodgson didn't even consider that. I just can't see how having a pop is productive for anyone, especially anti-racism groups.
24hoursfromtulsehill
This has to be the first 100% result in an OWTB poll.
LeylandLatic
Monkey's are racist animals, just by existing they're being racist and you're being racist by even acknowledging them. You're all going to hell.
garcon
Thanks for clearing that up. At least it'll be warm.
