At the away fixture, the Crawley supporters started a minute's applause in the 28th minute, which they may do again today. They may expect us as the home team to lead the chanting so they can join in, though. What was considered, and moaned about, as a "forced move" has now become an optional one, with the reverse option for the Brentford game. What the club is saying is, that the fans can decide for themselves and if there is no uptake during the two matches, then the topic of switching the Chaddy to the away-fans section is not going to happen. End of. Of course, the fact that they listened to the reaction of the fans and changed things appropriately, is still a reason for some people to have a good old moan about the club. Having a poll on OWTB, where 161 fans have voted, is not representative of the whole fan-base, so the club is right to do what it is doing. As fans, we do not yet know what league the Latics will be in next season and we do not know what impact the eventual new stand will have on where people choose to sit. The only way that The Club was and ever will be 'damned' by me is when they prove that they cannot effectively run a business serving its customers! The Club came up with a decision! The Club then changed the decision 'to make it purely optional' which then means that it might as well never made the decision in the first place! Now Wardle you are saying that this may well mean that future seating decisions are going to be taken based on a response to a non-decision! Absolute twaddle! Then you say that we do not know in which division we will be playing next season, well surely the most important matter this week is getting 3 points today and what effect will this decision/ non decision have on those 3 points, none.
