jsslatic
Heskey's arrival only a good thing if it pushes Wilkinson down the pecking order.

I really can't see Wilkinson, if signed, being that striker we really need. I will acknowledge that he improved with each game. But if we sign him I won't be getting too excited. BP1960
David Eyres (42) Plus one of Rodney jack Mark Allott I think we will have to rule out David Eyres, he wasn't part of a front two. Here's a recent list to choose from; http://www.statbunker.com/alltimestats/AllTimeOldestScorer?comp_code=EL1&club_id=32 Edited December 28, 2014 by BP1960

I think he's better than Jabo, and on the assumption we'll still be after a player in that mould in January, be it Jabo, Wilkinson or another, his arrival would certainly be a good thing. stevesidg
Half the posters on here are better than Jabo... First 2 or 3 games he was ok, but since then it's been easy to see why Colchester were happy to let him go
Scapegoat
Heskey would have reminded me of the Ricketts signing a few seasons back... No thanks. I want players with a point to prove, not old has-beens trying to get one last 'fix' before they retire.....that said David Eyres and Sheridan did OK so perhaps I am talking rubbish. Liked what I saw in Wilkinson, but not sure he is anything other than an option to Jabo. Didn't see him enough to be certain he isn't the same - decent at holding the ball up, can have good and bad games, and likely to have a goal to game ratio in the high single figures.
