They have took a 5 year ownership of Carrington, Citys old training ground.. Sky Sports doing a virtual tour all today and the facilities are nothing short of phenomenal, they'll be able to attract all types of players now with that.

 

Did we go in for it? Slipped through the net or?

They will be shaking buckets within the next 5 years spending way beyond their means. I wish we could have gone for the training complex though

Aye. They never learn their lessons. Not even two years since they were asking to keep the change on the turnstiles.

Does it really make a difference where they train? I mean practising on a mud pit isn't ideal but star jumps and dribbling round cones are what they are

Someone on Dale's forum reckons we tried to get it as a shared facility with them

The was a report a couple of years ago that the council were keen to develop the site. A stumbling block was our 99 year lease.

 

Doubtless the right amount of £s would make it worth us considering alternatives.
