madlatic
Surprised by the relatively small numbers brought by PNE , considering the short distance , only 35 mins away , league position and position in the division ....... poor very poor in my opinion

OLDHAMADE
Still seems that some are unsure as to whether Grayson is the man to take em up and it was mentioned elsewhere if he doesn't get em up this season he's out, Think that would be a massive over reaction myself but I'm not the one funding a club of that size with all it's ambitions As it stands I'd have a decent wad on Automatic given the squad he's assembled for this seasons assault after coming so damned close the last. With the budget that Grayson had last season and again this season he should have to make Automatic this year or be out on his arse! The football that they play isnt exactly awe inspiring so he gets a lot of grief-quite rightly in my opinion. Lets face it we gave them a goal start and the ref gave them a second so its wasnt exactly difficult for them yesterday!
Buckshawlatic
we came over from Blackpool took 20 mins to get through the snarl up cant see it putting to many off I made the mistake of being clever and coming off at Farnworth thinking Id nip through Clifton - big mistake
NewBlue
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If there's any club in the league where this wasn't true it is Latics. Relative to home crowds, our away support is miles better than PNE and almost every other team in League 1, in fact

NewBlue
The followings to Preston and Sheff United have been rubbish. For Oldham standards 5 or 6 years ago perhaps. 1300 or so to Sheffield is pretty standard now, and it's hardly very poor given we get 3500 at home. 800 to PNE is :censored: but we were in bad form Another sign of decline at the club yet it's still impressive relative to the league. whitey1980
It sounds ridiculous......but the PNE game was also in the cricket season. We have an awful lot of local league players / committee members (and children) who are heavily involved in many of the local leagues. Certainly enough that considering our small support, it could amount to 10/15% of our travelling following at that stage of the season. deyres42
We haven't taken a good following to either since they were relegated.

Cricket Season and School Holidays.Youre right about the Cricket, most away matches see lots of players and officials from Royton, Crompton, Shaw,Werneth, Austerlands, Glodwick, Heyside (take a mini bus) and Moorside

That would have knocked a few of the attendance for both sides.
