ghostofcecere
Wasnt he knocking off another players wife at the time ? Hence the swift departure. The reason he left was because Joe called him in to tell him Mike Milligan was being resigned and would be taking the number 10 shirt. Readfearn threw his toys out of the pram, him and Joe fell out and Redfearn spent pre-season training with the youths. As soon as Barnsley came calling he was off. Stevie_J
Like ghostofcecere, I was always under the impression that Redfearn and Royle fell out over the position Royle had intended to play him after promotion - think he was planning to use him out wide.
