oafcprozac
Moore was hounded out by a mob that walked away anyway. only our second top 10 finish in any league for 15 years and we sacked him it wasn't pretty but there were plenty of highlights. Impatient :censored:wits wrecked our chances as Ronnie would not have blown it the year after as we would have had Beckett and porter firing us to automatic imho instead of Dabo, Rocastle and Wood on the wage bill and Ronnie would have laughed his cock off at the suggestion of signing Luigi :censored:ing Glombard Edited September 12, 2015 by oafcprozac
doctor evil
Ive never really got the holden bashing that goes on on here. I do feel he'd be better suited to a coaching capacity but to want him out of the club is ridiculous IMO.
Just a forte
Pointless arguments we all know it's a dunn deal. Always was going to be. Same old same old.

Let's not forget Corney was very grateful that he "kept us up" after taking over when we were 7th.

We made the right call letting Moore go. Shez did a lot better with our best players from those 2 seasons.

He did keep us up though, i mean i could've kept us up but he still did it.
the_mighty_bosh
Let's not forget Corney was very grateful that he "kept us up" after taking over when we were 7th. To be fair Holden took over a team (and club) that was a shambles soon after LJ left. I'd have preferred someone else but Holden had comfortably kept us up with 8 games to spare which was a fair achievement given the circumstances. maddog
Agreed. The team has been in decline since he arrived. That's just a fact. His influence is clearly only a negative one. Except the fact that the players have not been flocking to the exits. So not that negative.
ChrisA
His post match final comments are interesting on LP... When asked by gord if the players are capable of responding he hesitates raises his eyebrows and shrugs saying time will tell...not sure what to make of that but hardly fills you with confidence as a fan Under him maybe. Hopefully that is not the case.
rteoafc
Somewhere in one of these threads someone asked about our record with/without Holden. Last season in the league our average points and goals per game were: 16 games without Holden (1.56 points, 1.4 scored, 1.1 conceded) 15 games with Holden as coach (1.2 points, 1.2 scored, 1.7 conceded) 15 games with Holden as manager (0.93 points, 0.9 scored, 1.5 conceded) This season the record is 0.88 points, 0.8 scored, 1.5 conceded. Over the last few years: Sheridan: 1.55 points, 1.4 scored, 1.1 conceded Penney: 1.16 points, 0.9 scored, 1.2 conceded Dickov: 1.12 points, 1.1 scored, 1.4 conceded Johnson: 1.31 points, 1.2 scored, 1.3 conceded
Main Stand Banter
Let him train the kids then, he shouldnt be allowed within sight of the first team squad. Agreed
