youngen Posted March 2, 2017 Share Posted March 2, 2017 I thought Mclaughlin played really well at full back. Think hes making that spot his own, although Sheridan may want him further forward. Holloway got 2 assists, and was constantly available and proved the out ball for us launching a lot of good counter attacks, also thought he was brilliant. Tope scored and was a threat first half, but drifted out of the game, and needed to be subbed when he was. I gave it Banks though, because I think that was his best game in a Latics shirt. Passing was absolutely spot on, he got stuck in instead of those coward tackles he usually does, and was constantly wanting the ball, which shows a man with confidence. If it was the only goal of the game then maybe...but in this case it should go to the player who had contributed the most to keeping us at 1-1 thus enabling Erwin to strike the winner(*).
