Moved to live in Bournemouth in 1978 and have had many years of giving the Cherries stick. Have only found a couple of other latics fans down here. Still got family in Oldham so get to some home games as well as the reachable ones down south and in Wales and Midlands. I was one of the heroes who made it to Swansea...the day we went top. It just wouldn't be Latics to kick on and do what Scunny have done and give the fans a stressless run-in...would it? No, here we are again..doing it the hard way. Nothing changes! Anyway, Divvy 1 or upwards, we,ll be there again next season...at least we're battling at the right end of the table for a change. COME ON LADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forest away this season sticks in my mind. There were no real expectations going there and we completely outplayed them. The atmosphere was fantastic as well All Time Greatest Player? Probably our manager John Sheridan. I loved his brain in the sense that he could read and dictate a game so well and even as his dodgy knees took there toll he could play extremely well without doing the running.
