deyres42
High wage , :censored: output - true. Aberdeen would disagree and with his record in Scotland could of surely got a nominal fee. Remember we paid cash for poleon Don't worry about it.
MAC0AFC
Wonder how much aberdeen will fetch for Adam Rooney when they sell him? If they do? Now that he's scored that many in such a short space of time, and how much will that said team regret it when he reverts back to a very very average league one player. Break The Silence
High wage. :censored: output. Get rid. He'd lost all value. This. All day. Granted he's come good elsewhere but he was :censored:ing terrible when he played for us. It was the right time to call it quits for both of us. jsslatic
It wasn't happening for Rooney at Oldham. If he had stayed out his contract I doubt it would have happened there. Sometimes you just need a change of scenery and it gives you a new lease of life. The alternative of course was paying him whilst we sat out the contract. Then we may not have been able to afford, say, Gary Harkins, and may well have been relegated. It was the right decision for everyone. byrnes boots
In which case, let's not be negative.. let's think about if we are to sell 3 of our best players who are all contracted then we'll be coming out with enough £££ to put back into the squad, but I can't see all 3 going.Your right but at least we will get an undisclosed fee if they do
Hands on
Rooney failed because he was a small striker used as a big striker. Aberdeen knew what he was about, played to his strengths and he is their top scorer. It isn't a complicated game. If you have a round hole you have to buy a round 'peg'! It was, unsurprisingly, a record made at a different time to his Aberdeen record. He may well have a decent value now. He was a wage bill liability at Latics. This is OWTB we just don't do that.
whitey1980
With all the players under contract, the ball is firmly in the clubs court. They need to appoint the right man to engender the commitment of the players mentioned who are the hearbeat of the side. As said plenty of times, players are fickle - and if the right man comes in, their attitude may change. I suspect at present - even moreso than normal - their agents or representatives are looking at their options. We desperately need a result today, backed by a passionate support, if we are to move forwards between now and the end of the season!!
