I was thinking about doing this from Edinburgh but it depends on work and trains. We usually get a decent turn out but don't think it'll be great for a Tuesday night cup game - particularly with all the southern games people are saving up for.

Aye I had a few problems the other day but I disabled a VLC plugin and added a Media Player one and seems to have fixed it. They don't seem to be using the Latics Player thing yet though which is worrying - presumably they're just going to dive into the deep end against Stockport and hope it works?

If I go through "open URL" in Media Player I get it (although it's very quiet - even the mic that's switched on!!). Think I might need to sort this before the season

Aye I've got the link which is what's opening the black page. I've tried IE as well but thats opening up VLC despite media player being my default for the file type as far as I can tell. I think VLC might be causing the issue in both browsers

I'm just getting a black page with "waiting for video" in Firefox. Can anyone help me out?

Or Penney signed him by dealing with the agent whilst the player was on holiday..

I wanted to give Shez more time but I think this is a great appointment. From what I hear BFJ wasn't too keen but has been talked into it as a favour to sort out the problems in the dressing room and get a buzz back around the club to hopefully push us up. If it doesn't work out we get the new guy in the summer and start again which is what we were looking at anyway.

Cheers for everything Shez!! After watching the game yesterday I told my dad on the way out he'd be gone by monday. I was for giving him more time but looking at it objectively getting BFJ in to sort out the discipline issues, and possibly leave a better foundation for a permanent replacement to come in in the summer, seems like the best route. I'll answer this before I disappear. Firstly no offence taken on my part mate, although I don't think it's "un-PC" it simply comes across as having racist undertones. As for your second point..I have absolutely no problem with you or anyone else holding that point of view. I don't agree with it in the slightest but if everyone agreed with me the country would be a dull one (plus it sounds much more reasonable when put as eloquently as in the quote above, as opposed to the questionable way it was phrased in your original post)

You think "Only in England(istan)" is a valid point? There's plenty of reasons to get upset with this demonstration but I'm not sure spouting racist bollox is the way to vent that frustration

I think you've got it spot on there Joe. Like Ackey I've been on anti war protests but these morons have picked a completely inappropriate time and place, in fact they've probably harmed the cause they claim to be protesting. If you've got a problem then you go to the decision makers, not the lads who are brave enough to put themselves on the line for their country. I should also add I don't think jibes about England(istan) and using the protesters for target practice help much either

Nah tonight wasn't live. I'd never suggest watching on tv counted as live footy but I don't get back home as much as I'd like and Scottish football doesn't really satiate my urges..I've just managed to book the train to MK so the drought will soon be over

That's the main incident I would hold against the lino..I'd be absolutely raging if that had been a Leeds player and we'd not got a pen..apart from that a few little niggly decisions annoyed me but not as much as a lot of refs recently

To be honest I've not been to a game up here for a couple of years due to the quality plummeting but when i first got up here I went to Hearts mainly because I work with Jambos and I used to be able to see Tynecastle from my living room window. I should probably make an effort to get to a game I'm starting to miss my live footy.

I thought he started off fairly well but went on to make some baffling decisions. In his defence (not that I regularly defend referees) it doesn't help when you have the likes of Becchio and Taylor making a meal of challenges. It was good to see KK and their keeper get on with challenges on them they could have made more of. EDIT: also worth pointing out that a couple of the dodgy corners/free kicks were probably down to the linos
