I'd agree with playing lomax on tuesday and I also see you're point about thompson..i dont think hes suddenly become a bad player but he needs to sort himself out quickly and find some form..again I'd agree with giving him a rest and playing trotman. was also surprised with the stick eardley in particular was getting, esp as i had him down as one of our better performers yesterday. as for taylor..well i personally wouldnt be picking him at the minute as I dont think hes doing anything like enough to earn his place..however, that still doesnt mean getting on the players backs is gonna get us anywhere

No need for the tin hats as far as I'm concerned lads. I seem to be the only person at the minute who's voted for Taylor..I think we'd miss his pace but at the minute pace is all he offers us. My only real concern is how narrow that would leave us

Just got in from the game and I've got to say I enjoyed tonight. I've not seen a game for a fair while and was looking forward to seeing our new boys in action. A couple of quick comments before i get to bed.. Firstly, the defence..to put it simply they need sorting out and quickly. Thompson had an absolute mare, Gregan didn't fill me with confidence (although to be fair he won every header he went for).full backs did alright..thought lomax in particular looked our strongest defender. As for Crossley..on that performance all he has over Pogs is his kicking. hopefully he, gregan and thompson will improve once they know each other a bit better Apart from that everything else was very positive. Taylor didn't have the best game and still seems intent on bombing down the wing whilst leaving the ball behind but he worked hard and hopefully the form will come. I thought Allott and Kalala looked good in the centre..battled for everything with Allott having the better game. Liddell put a couple of decent balls in and his set pieces seem much improved on last year. Ricketts held on to everything that hit him and, although he still looks rusty, looks like he could be a decent buy once his fitness returns. Davies was the best player on the pitch IMO, looks quick, strong with a good shot on him and a clinical 1-on-1 finish for the goal. As for the subs..I thought Wolfy looked decent and if he had been a bit greedier maybe could have had a goal. Stam looked a little uncomfortable at left back for me but still did a solid enough job. Allessandra looked nippy and Smalley didnt look too shabby either, although neither are ready for a run of games just yet for me. Finally, the fans..great support again for a meaningless,thursday night friendly which we had already been told would be nothing more than a fitness exercise. Seemed to be decent numbers dotted about and a fair amount of noise from a group which, if I'm not mistaken, was made up of OWTB regulars. All in all a good nights work

Like many others on here I'm too young to have seen him play, but the fact I and others know so much about the guy just from hearsay and legend says a lot about the man. RIP Bert

Holland-Groningen as i spent a year with a dutch girl as a flatmate who was a fan Spain-Atletico Madrid as I spent a year living in Madrid and after going to a couple of Real games decided to try out Atletico..much more like going to a proper game Scotland-I take surprisingly little interest considering i live up here but i usually enjoy watching Hibs

you can say that again stevie..this is the game I've been most nervous about recently and it looks to be our best performance (definitely best result as it stands)..nice to see we dont have to rely on ports for goals as well

yep id agree with that Ackey. from what i hear of the weather down there it sounds like it might be a case of brawn rather than finesse so we need to impose ourselves early, especially if they have a few fans there..need to keep them quiet and get our lot going. only worry is it sounds like it could be the type of game that results in injuries and suspensions
