what is this obsession with vernon with a lot of oldham fans, he was not good enough the first time why would he be this time. joe re-signed milligan and wanted to play redfearn on the right instead of adams, which he did a few times, over the few seasons he was with us, redfearn argued that he just wanted to play in the middle and that he was better in the centre than milly and henry, joe disagreed and sold him off for next to nothing, ( thats what i was told by a former director and very good friend of joe) shame really because redders showed how good a player he could be in that division a few years later.

couldnt see the incident you are talking about in the area due to the scramble and bodys in the way , but how did the ref have it in for hughes? he got booked for a blatent dive , rightly so! but i cant think of another incident where he was singled out.

it was outside the box, taylor pulled the guys arm and he dropped to his knees, the linesman signaled a foul ( he did not hold the flag to his chest ) and the ref gives a pen, disgrace. to soft to change his mind once he spoke to the liner. total disgrace. but we should have taken our chances.
