  1. taylor set up at few goals this season with crosses. so to say to take lessons off allessandra is a bit stupid! he didnt even find his own man. when do we drop him by the way, a stiker that doesnt score, ridiculous. sorry is that next week. got my dates wrong davies one week, eardley the next, crossley every other taylor this week and lewis the week after.i cant keep track of who we are trying to hound out of the club from one week to ther next. young Blacks been on the bench for a few weeks now, he hasnt kicked a ball but im sure if we start now we can destroy his confidence before we even give him a chance. Can admin please post a calander with dates and players so i can keep track of who we are slagging and when.
  2. Neil Pointon, scored against us didnt he in the cup for halesowen or someone like that
  3. Thet dont call me almost mystic palmer1 for nothing you know!
  4. none of it was edited, why whats up with it? he didnt score obviously
  5. have i made it over the years but i thought he got 2 own goals and then went off to a standing ovation from the latics fans
  6. the best all round, except for yeovil of course is, 3-0 up with ten mins to go, warne makes an apperance to a great ovation, pulls a consolation out of the bag, does not celebbrate and we show our appreciation. i hope he gets to play apart in the game as long as he does not affect the result in a negative way. loved watching him hunt down opposing full backs last season, he certainly fits the bill when defending from the front.
  7. Well lets get the youth team up to scratch then, because so far we havent seen the youth lads perform apart from Taylor. Smalley and Wolfy if that comment is based on the forwards alone, fair enough, but what about eardley, lomax and trotman? thay have all performed for us last season or this. i think the forwards will but they are all a bit lightweight at this moment in time, but with experience they will learn how to use their own strenghts on a regular basis.
  8. i say pay it with the trotman money, even if we dont go up this season, Eastwood and Hughes with davies and taylor up front next, How many clubs would want that, he has proved he is more than a handful at this level before. take the chance on this one, could be the difference between promotion and also rans
  9. it seems a lot of people on here want to sell no-body because it shows lack of ambition and also buy everyone who has had a good game on a wednesaday afternoon infront of no fans, no pressure against a buch of kids. if we ran the club like that its been pointed out we would have the biggest squad in the country. now im sure most of the people on here with those views are well respected championship managers and i bow to that superior knowledge, but if not pull your neck in and be logical. the club is not going to buy every player seen and rated by message board members. i think we need people in, no question. but when people come on hear going on about someone they mentioned (which in their eyes seems like a recomendation to the club) it makes me larf!
  10. off the facebook application 68, and hoping to add plenty more when we get out of this division.
  11. there where England players in the crash and the fact (correct me if im wrong) that team was the first Englis team to compete abroad in any European competion. They paved the way for future generations, it does not matter what the team was called or where abouts in England they were from, they went to Represent England and this tragedy affected more than just the people of Manchester, it affected people all over the UK and Germany and im sure Cappello said it affected Italy last night as the same happened top a great Torino team. if anyone cannot not stay silent for a minute to respect men who died after paving the way for thousands of football fans to watch English teams compete in the Champions league (as it is now) then they should be banned from football for good.
  12. have to agree with the above, should be a minutes silence for those who lost their lives tragically at a young age like those lost in munich. minutes applause for those who lived to a good age and had a good long life to celebrate like by accounts Mr Ogden. although if i had to choose, i would say minutes silence as i find it a more respectful way to reflect on a persons life. you can celebrate it afterwards in any way the individual wishes
  13. I know this is all about opinions and its im not critising , but, can those who saw both holden and eyres play for latics and voted for eyres please tell me why? eyres was great and a legend but i cant say he came close to holden when he was playing. holden played at a higher level and i dare say his stats are better as well.
  14. http://www.squarefootball.net/article/inbrief.asp?iid=925 never on the pitch at the same time.
  15. i seem to remember them both playing together for the u-21's but never full level. it was during the cup season.
  16. Rick Holden or Davied Eyres Joe Royle or Jimmy Frizzell Luke Beckett or Chris Porter Earl Barrett or Fitz Hall Neil Kilkenny or Richie Wellens Wayne Andrews or Jermaine Johnson Ronnie Jepson or Phil Starbuck (2 goals at grimsby swayed it - both gash) Sean Garnett or Guy Branston Roger Palmer or Frankie Bunn (only becuase of the record) Neil Redfern or John Sheridan Jim Fryatt or David Shaw (b4 my time) Dennis Irwin or Andy Barlow (i know im supposed to but refuse to choose, both legends) Toddy Orlygsson or Gunnar Halle Andy Goram or Paul Gerrard (first spell)
  17. because at 40 you are more prone to injury and less agile, thats what happens when you get older. we need to buy a younger full time replacment for crossley when he or shez decides its time to stop. No they are not quality keepers, thay are ok but both past there best. fact
  18. Beresford did well, but do we really want 2 full time 40 year olds on the books? unlucky pogs, great serveant, I would rate him alongside kelly though, he did keep more clean sheets in one season than any other oldham keeper. when his confidence was up he was a great/(is?) a great keeper
  19. wasmt it tiblisi who turned up and where shocked to find a plastice pitch. so we bought them some astro boots to use for the game only, and they had them away after the game, think we won 3-1 a few days after losing 3-2 to bradford in another friendly at home.
  20. Got a feeling we are going to do them some damaged tomoz, solid at the back and in the middle, pace up front and if we play anything like we did on Tuesday they are in for a shock. 2-0 latics; smalley (i can feel it) and Davies will break his duck, a games rest and back in wales (trying to show why he is in the wales squad) bit optimistic i know but...........KEEP THE FAITH!
  21. i wouldnt let him go back on loan, we need to sell if possible if a deal cannot be arranged he should come back and if that means sitting in the reserves and not playing for a league rival that are above us then so be it. there fans seem keen to keep him as they belive thay have turned around since his arrival, why do them a favour
  22. i totally agree, but if his next 3 performances are not a good as last night , some will turn on him, its happened to many times before, i just want the lad to get a fair crack. he has the ability, no question
