  1. What a poor show. No attacking creativity whatsoever.
  2. Why's everyone gettting hung up about DewsburyBlue's comments ???? Jeez. Even if this business about cones and bottles is a load of baloney, there is no doubt that a lot worse will have gone on today...and both Oldham and Huddersfield fans will have been in the thick of it. It's always the same between Oldham and Udders. Move on.
  3. Spot on as usual Diego. Thought we, the fans, were great at times today...despite going a goal down after 9 mins and having absolutely nothing football-wise to cheer.
  4. Ha ha. Let's make sure the Sainsbury's bags make more noise than the Tesco bags.
  5. No excuses on Saturday lads/ladies. Get behind the lads and make some noise. If you don't want to sing then that's absolutely fine by me....BUT if you are one of those many fans who admit they would like to sing but don't then you really need to make the effort on Saturday. If you hear someone starting a chant, join in ! If it helps, get a few jars down your neck before the game. If people think that the atmosphere is guaranteed to be great on Saturday then they're wrong....it will take a lot of effort. At games like this you get a lot of people attending who don't attend often and perhaps don't feel too comfortable singing, BUT WE CAN DEFINITELY GET BOUNDARY PARK ROCKING IF WE ALL MAKE AN EFFORT.
  6. 'Decline in our local paper' ?? I don't think it does too bad (in fact I know it doesn't circulation wise, especially compared to papers in similar sized towns...who don't even have a daily paper). Course, there's uncertain times ahead...but all papers face the same uncertainty.
  7. The eChron was always going to end up being something you had to pay for. I spoke to a guy from the Chron a year ago about this and even back then he was saying the intention was to make it something you paid for. The amount of views the eChron gets is staggering (if the guy from the Chron is to be believed). I reckon it'll be a nice little earner for them...and fair play too.
  8. I was reading the rules on the official Huddersfield site for their ticket allocation and either HTAFC are expecting to sell out their allocation very easily or they're trying their hardest not to sell out. See for yourselves below: An initial allocation of 3,000 tickets for Town's FA Cup sponsored by E.ON Fourth Round game at Oldham Athletic on Saturday 26th January (kick-off 3pm) will go on sale at 9am on Saturday 12th January to season ticket holders who are also either Blue & White Foundation Members, Patrons or hold away ticket stubs from three away games this season. Tickets are priced at £18 adults, £9 seniors (65 & Over) and under 16's and £3 under 12's. Disabled supporters cost £18 with the helper going free. There is a limit of one ticket per person. Bookings can be made over the telephone on 0870 44 44 552 - when booking you must quote your client reference number and Blue & White membership or Patrons reference number. Customers with three stubs must either come to the ticket office or send them through the post with their remittance. Postal bookings should be addressed to The Ticket Office (Oldham Booking), Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield, HD1 6PX and should be accompanied with all the relevant information. Any remaining tickets will then be on sale as follows: Second Tier: Tuesday 15th January - 9.30 am - Season Ticket Holders Only Third Tier: Thursday 17th January - 9.30 am - Blue & White Foundation/Patrons/3 away stubs only. General sale: Monday 21st January - 9.30 am
  9. Simple answer - bring back standing areas. I've said it before, it'll never happen, but it should and it could - look at Dortmund.
  10. Accordning to wiki he scored 208 goals in 422 appearances for United - that's some record.
  11. 200k ??? Oldham haven't got that sort of money to splash.
  12. Can anyone help ? I need a Word Processing piece of software...and don't want to fork out for Microsoft Word. I believe there are quite few different free word processing pieces of software available to download on the Internet. Can anyone recommend a good one ? Preferably one that I can still view Microsoft Word documents in. Cheers in advance.
  13. Agreed. It's just that Hughesy is so easy to chant plus a lot of us seem to want to (rightly or wrongly) counter the abuse that Hughes gets and support him. The name Craig Davies just doesn't lend itself well to being chanted. But surely the more creative/imaginative among us could think of something fitting.
  14. Maybe I'm being optimistic but I think there might be as many as 8k home fans in BP. Hopefully, Huddersfield can turn out a decent following like they used to and bring 3k plus. I'll go for 11k. I think Latics have stirred up a bit of interest amongst a lot of lapsed Oldham fans with their victories against Leeds and Everton.
  15. The front of The Sunday Times sports supplement has a big pic of Macca celebrating on it.
  16. A lot of people didn't get a beer. Even some of those who started queuing about 10 -15 min before half time. Why do they always under-estimate us. They never get enough ale in for the Latics fans.
  17. Surely there are more POSITIVE things to discuss/debate at the moment ??
  18. Believe me Greegs is not on more than 3k per week. I can't remember if the 3k includes bonuses though.
  19. No, they're not on anything like 6k per week. Jeez...Try 3k for Greegs exc. bonuses. Pretty sure he's the highest earner - one of the reasons why Haining left, I believe.
  20. Anyone who thinks there was more than 8,100 at the Forest game should take a look at the match highlights on Latics World - you will see plenty of empty seats. Also, it's impossible to see the plenty off odd one or two seats that are often empty.
  21. Maybe, but often stands can look fuller than they are. Forest's following was poor - I thought 1,600 was generous.
  22. Not been to as many games as I should have this season, but the Lookers and Main Stands looked pretty full. I was in the Chaddy and there were quite a lot of empty seats at either side....busier than normal, but still plenty of spaces.
  23. I beginning to think Shez hasn't got the biggest vocabulary....but fair play to him
  24. Gary Kelly is the best Latics keeper from the last 10 years.
