  1. We scraped a 1-0 win against 10 man bottom of the table. E4e CUKOO
  2. Didn't go so forgive me and correct me if I'm wrong... Bottom of the table who should be 2 up, giving us the run around, ref sends one of them off and gifts us a goal, and from then on it was protecting what we had, with a few hairy moments, in the end clinging on to the 3 points. Or was it all us and on another day could've been a cricket score? Anyway whatever happened, it sure is dull. E4e ZZZZZ
  3. I can't make it, when is it again? Sorry. E4e NOWAY
  4. That we seem to concede and as a result lose games in one period of the match. Last 5 defeats, ALL goals conceded... Norwich 53 mins Leeds 54 and 61 Colchester 64 Swindon 45, 45, 48 and 58 Millwall 57 9 goals in that 20 minute window. It's sooooooo predictable that the boys helped me win £400 in an 8 matcher. The benefit of following a gash team. E4e OARIP
  5. Yep, first half early doors. Cracker. World Cup innit. E4e FURMO
  6. You're joking right? He was diabolical and about as interested as...er...me. He's *****! E4e LAYZE
  7. Two questions: 1. Lags says each stand is 20 rows deep. Out of interest (and comparison) how deep is the Chaddy End currently? I'm guessing 20 rows would be half way up the back block? 2. In this day and age why are we dependant on a scanner to get the official photos on the website? Failsworth will be the best thing to happen to this club. Just hope there's still life left in it by then. E4e FAILO
  8. If any further proof was needed. E4e OARIP
  9. You can get knocking on 2/1 for a home win tonight. Licence to print money if you ask me. E4e GETON
  10. What can he do that O'Grady can't? How about score in this division for one? E4e KINKY
  11. 20 mins? Mate, seeing the floodlights is enough to knock it off the 92 isn't it? E4e OARIP
  12. Barry if you wear a Trust hat one day and a Board hat the next then I'm afraid you're the wrong man for the job. You are THE Trust, the ears and voice of the fans on the Board of Oldham Athletic. The day you stop speaking as Trust Oldham is the day you should step down. Looks like that day's come to me. (Apologies if you've addressed this. I got to page 8 and lost the will.) E4e OARIP
  13. Why would TTA get rid if they're apparently aiming to take us down? OK Penney seems a numpty (not having injuries as an excuse, no way) but can't help thinking the problem lies much deeper. E4e OARIP
  14. Right so the crowd swells to (come on, realistically...) 5,000. Wow! They'll really take notice of that, especially when it falls back down to 3.5k the next home game. The club's in a real big hole with not a ladder in sight. E4e ECHOO
  15. Like the majority of our fans, vote with your feet and don't go. It's ace. E4e SWEET
  16. Get over it. We're gash and that's nowt to do with the lino or ref. Just imagine if you'd changed your betslip at the last minute after seeing Millwalls awful away record and changing an away win to a draw. And just imagine again if the only match to let you down in an 8 game accumulator was... Don't really need £2,500 anyway. E4e OARIP
  17. Think it lies deeper than the manager (even though he appears f****** useless!). E4e OARIP
  18. Were they really? Wishful thinking there I think. It took us 20 mins to get out of our own half and a further 10 for our first shot. Should've got up and walked out straight after our shambolic kick off. To me, to you. This is disgraceful. The worst I've ever seen. And for that reason I very much doubt I'll be going on Saturday. Think it's the first time I'll have ever missed a home league game when I've genuinely got nowt else to do. This club has been ripped to friggin shreds. It was like watching an old dog last night waiting to be put out of it's misery. We can't put it down so we may as well walk away. This isn't my club anymore. E4e OARIP
  19. The majority of my beef at the moment is towards the team and management, not the politics side of things which I'll leave to other people. I just can't associate with the team any more, I have no clue what the manager sounds like, and most importantly it's absolute dross to watch. Granted that all stems from the top and the politics. I'm actually a fan of TTA and (perhaps I'm being naive here...) I do believe they've got the best interests of the club at heart. But I'm afraid the buck stops at them with the current woefully inept performances dished up week in week out in a 3 sided absolute s**thole. Add all that to the politics and behind the scenes stuff and no wonder there's so much apathy amongst the fans. I've certainly got better things to do with my time thesedays. I've no affinity to Oldham the town and am actually up for a move to Failsworth but I can't help feeling that's further proof of how much I'm bothered with OAFC and BP at the moment. If I was as passionate as I was a few years back perhaps I'd be chaining myself to the floodlights? E4e ASSOA
  20. Who knows? Last season I missed a handful of games home and away. This season I've been to less than half the home games and not been to any away, for various reasons. When I aint there I don't miss it in the slightest. Don't need to be Vorderman to do the math, with a ST I'm paying for games I aint going to. All I'm saying is next year I probably won't get a ST (1st time since 86) therefore picking and choosing my games. And when it gets to that point, with the money in my pocket, will there be more enjoyable things to spend my money and weekends on? Going off the past 2 (3, 4..) years it's a resounding yes. Never thought I'd say this but the feeling has gone. I sat in front of andrewoafc (jklatics stalwart) for many a year, right up until his very last game. Every passing week his interest visibly drained. It was a habit that became a chore. One day he said he was offskis, I thought he was crazy and 'not a proper fan'. He's been back since to a freeby which we won and I thought we played OK; he thought we were gash. I'm now completely with him. For so many reasons (see this thread) it's just not the same any more. Maybe that's not just Latics, it's football and me getting older. But as Rafa says, it's a fact. The whole aura around all things OAFC is at an all time low and the future doesn't look any better. And it's a cold hard sorry reality check when loyal fans who wouldn't dream of missing a single game in previous seasons feel the same. E4e BLEAK
  21. Can't believe some of the figures talked about. Hello, this is Latics, would be surprised if it's anywhere near £500k. E4e PNUTS
  22. Think you could be right there Lags. Eeee the things Latics would do for £150k... E4e FARCE
