    But they are a bad investment-business sense seems to fly out the window with football ownership-something I dearly hope is not going to happen to us BUT the signs are not good at the moment. I am amazed that I actually have to contemplate this after what has happened in the past. Depending upon sugar daddies and foreign owned money laundering is not a viable business plan but it is happening all around us in this sport.

    Be honest though. Is it a position you would sign given the other failings in the team? Can have all the forwards in the world (which we seem to have) but we cannot get the ball to them.

    I cannot believe that there are still posters who think money can be made from running/owning a football club. do they never read a paper or look at BBC Sport etc and see what a money pit football is at just about every level?

    Very good? Used to go a lot in those days to reserve games. He was outstanding-partly for the very reason you have criticized him for. He was a slight lad but he just had that something you could not pin down and players never got near him. Best I have seen of Latics youth and such a shame what happened to him. I accept the game then was nowhere near as physical as it is now though.

    You are right-it is a bit harsh. I bet you would struggle to find a less than 6/10 performance from Sheron over his career here. Players have been brought in to replace the likes of McGahey not Sheron.

    I would take him over Lundstram-Sheron was nigh on MOM on Tuesday and chips in with goals. Something Lundstram has not looked like doing so far.
