Yeah everyone but the most important thing-The Club. 3 weeks before the season started-It led to Robinson something arguable the club has still not recovered from. All you can see is £ signs.

It is not so black and white. I really do struggle to understand the faith Latics fans have in him and want to see what it is they think he can do for the club. A couple of the last posts make good cases for keeping him-it is just a pity some posters have to make it personal and cannot back up their belief with good reasons.

I remember the past 2 seasons very well but for different reasons-he is the bloke who upped sticks and left us in the mess that led to Robinson. For that he deserves no grace at all. As per usual you have used quotes that no one else can verify, but yes he is not some rookie-he is the bloke who was sacked by Notts County for allegedly verbally abusing a referee when his team was on a run of 9 losing games. Have to say posters are not exactly rushing to support you and come up with reasons to keep him.

It is not negative- I keep asking why we should keep him and so far no one has come up with a good answer.

Cannot understand why people keep talking about loyalty and Sheridan in the same sentence. Would it really be the end of the world if he was removed? Bottom of the league after 6 games, shocking tactics and team selection up to yesterday. Funny how the good players we signed are suddenly Sheridans but the poor players (and there are plenty in this squad) are usually Corneys. it puts it into a bit of perspective when somebody quotes (Markspark92) the best years of watching Latics are when Sheridan was involved-well for me some of the worst years of watching Latics are when Sheridan is involved.

At last a voice of reason on here. Well argued points that are already being ignored. And now we have a potential investor labelled as 'a chancer' by somebody who cannot say a good word about Corney. Incredible.

Got to agree with your first sentence Hands On, but from there we have differing views. The circumstantial evidence points to Sheridan not having a clue and it all fits in very nicely for him that people start to believe that its Corneys fault-which to be fair it invariably ends up being on this forum. We are not the only team in this league with a smallish budget and talking about budgets-how come Bury have managed to sign 2 again today BUT we are under an embargo? Tend to agree with you about a goalie, but I do have previous on this forum stating that it is not such an important position as outfield players. There must be a decent non league goalie out there somewhere and the fact that we have no decent reserve team back up is shocking.

But it is not. I posted earlier about signing another striker-we don't have enough money to keep signing strikers until one hopefully clicks. Would you give him more finance to sign another based on his recent purchases and the way he is setting up his teams?

Tell you what-let's just keep signing strikers until we have a team of 10-sod it let's put one in goal as well and then we should score goals based upon your logic. Still seems to be this blind spot or maybe he just doesn't know that the midfield is not good enough as it stands.

And it is quotes like this that make me think Sheridan hasn't got a bloody clue about who is in his squad and after Saturday where they can play-what on earth do we need another forward for on our limited budget?

Just supposing that some funds become available do you have enough confidence in Sheridan to acquire the right kind of player because most of his transfer dealings have been frankly rubbish so far.
