  1. Might be best to get in your fallout bunker, lock the door and do not look on here for a few days after this. Best wishes!!!
  2. Stott was found out for the goal in first half but the player never got a kick in second half-thought for a young lad he played well overall and it was a peach of a cross for our goal.
  3. This is hardly an incentive to sign-don't forget he has only been offered new contract, not signed a new contract.
  4. Grateful and Latics finances are never likely to appear in the same sentence from you.
  5. I watched Taylor on Saturday and came away thinking what's the point? He was just another player on the pitch-did nothing impressive. Surely got to be better options out there?
  6. What on earth has support numbers got to do with our and Rochdales league positions? I am no Rochdale fan but they were the better side on Saturday and have been all season reflecting how stable their management is. I do agree that it is something we should aspire to achieve.
  7. Why in any of the above which I found quite sensible would you think Latics should finish above Rochdale?
  8. Can a member of the trust confirm that the sum of £22,835.00 was the amount passed over to the club from the trust collection? Seem to recall the figure being bandied about earlier was higher than this.
  9. Blimey that's brought back some memories-not all good but I see what you mean about Carlo and Wrexham. Good one!!
  10. There is an article in The Chron today about Dick Mulvaney returning to Boundary Park on Saturday. Great to hear and see some of the older players and how they are. Unfortunately Mr Mulvaney is suffering from that B--t--d disease Alzheimer's as is another Latics favourite the best header of a ball I have ever seen Jim Fryatt. Another good player mentioned is Alan McNeill and there is a picture of the promotion team with the legendary Maurice Whittle holding the trophy. Happy days watching them play.
  11. So the bloke who actually owns the equipment says he took it back and there is nothing amiss here and a senior trust member still thinks there is something wrong. This is not the trust standing up and asking questions it is peddling ill informed nonsense.
  12. It must really irritate you when there is something positive about this club. This is money that goes out of the game-not recycled back around like transfer fees. Alright we did not sign the greatest players in the close season-down to several reasons BUT by the same token we did not pay out a huge amount on agents fees. Just LOOK at the list-Coventry, Chesterfield Shrewsbury all below us .
  13. This is hardly a ringing endorsement of the club is it? Just imagine the grief the club would be getting if we had a figure like Oxford or Wimbledon.
  14. Is this not a good thing? But as per usual somebody manages to find a negative.
  15. Hi Magister. Didn't realise that you lived in Bristol-handy for the Rovers game. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/grammar-vigilante-name-if-poss-change-bristol-signs-business-shop-night-commas-apostrophies-banksy-a7664286.html
  16. No, releasing monies that were raised for a particular project to a club you fear has severe financial problems without any controls I consider mismanagement. I take that you would have taken the clubs word as good enough from your reply?
  17. i have watched this thread with great interest to see where it may end up. At the same time there is another thread running about the winding up status of the club. Now it seems that the trust knew there was a sum of money from the scoreboard fund but at the same time it has increasing concerns about the financial status of the club. Based upon this would it not have been prudent to firstly know how much money there was. Secondly who has access to the money and controls its release? Why gift the money to the club, were no questions asked before transfer of funds? If it is for a scoreboard then it should be used for one and the club should have to come to you with an estimate for spec and purchase. As it stands you have put the monies into a pot you no longer have any control over which seems a gross mismanagement to me
  18. He was always going to surface again when there is speculation about OAFC financial status-it is in Mastermind terms his 'specialist subject'
  19. Good reply but you had a spelling mistake-should be "Whatever makes you feel Bitter sweetheart"
