    That game would have been totally lacking in atmosphere and passion without it. Do you know anyone with a triangle or maybe a glockenspiel to make the place rock for league games?

    I think some people are missing the point of the original post. The "crime" isn't being scouse (see big Joe and Jose to name but two) it is celebrating a Liverpool goal in the home end. This is clearly inflammatory and anyone who does it is either very stupid or out for trouble themselves.

    I was in the Cheadle end that day sat on my hands when we scored. Similarly for Robbie's goal at Anfield in their main stand. I would have expected people around me to be miffed had I celebrated. If they are there to watch the game, fine. If they overtly support the away team in a home end I have no sympathy for them if they get a clout.

    The winner of today's game will draw Arsenal away. I predicted this when the Killers rearranged their abandoned gig at the MEN for that weekend.

    According to our favourite Glaswegian detective. The F.A. may charge him, not because of the seriousness of his whinging comments about a linesman. But because of pressure put on the FA by the media. He's always the victim, it's never his fault.

    He actually predicted the correct score for the Millwall Villa game last night. Let's hope that was his one for the weekend, he has us down to lose two nil.

    According to radio Manchester Wes was our best player, albeit with limited competition. Whatever our Notts friend got correct I think he is anti Wes over the previous sending off.

    My first full season was 73 74. Champions, dishing out six nil batterings, an amazing Southport away seeing half my class on the pleasure beach. Little did my ten year old self know of the decades of slumber to come. Wouldn't swap one minute of it for all the trophies the plastic United fans from Oldham have seen.

    In view of the telly coming we need to finish the Chaddy paint job. As there aren't many polls on here just now can someone please sort one out. Q. How should we paint the roof? A) finish off in white B white, blue and tangerine C) ask b&q for some match pots and paint it 96 different colours
