  1. Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart says that the club are open to offers for top striker, Adam Le Fondre. Alfie, who has been the Millers top scorer for the last two seasons, has turned down an extension to his contract, that runs out at the end of this coming season, saying he wants to play in a higher league. If he goes at the end of the season Rotherham United will get nothing for him prompting Mr Stewart to tell the Yorkshire Post, 'If someone comes along with the right offer we will not stand in his way. 'He turned down a new deal and, if he leaves on a free, considering the amount we`ve invested in him, we lose out.` The only offer the Millers have had for the twenty-four year old was from Alan Knill at Scunthorpe which was thought to be no where near the £500,000 that Rotherham have valued him at. Millers Manager, Andy Scott has brought in two new strikers in the close season in Chris Holroyd and Gareth Evans and Tom Pope is still at the club, so the Millers aren`t without forward players.

  5. Dale in Darby victory over Oldham? Thu 07th Jul 2011 05:57 by Col And it's nothing to do with Chris O'Grady this time. Reports have linked Dale with a loan move for Liverpool's highly rated full back Stephen Darby, with suggestions that we have edged out Oldham to his signature. Darby has been linked with a whole host of clubs including Doncaster, MK Dons and Oldham. Further reports had Darby as being a makeweight in the deal taking Charlie Adam to Liverpool, but press reports on Thursday morning suggest that he will not be heading to Blackpool. It was via twitter where local journalist Rob Dawson suggested that Darby had opted to join Dale rather than our neighbours at Boundary Park. Dawson has proved in recent weeks to be very reliable with regards to NW footballing matters. The 22 year old right back is highly thought of, and has did well on loan spells in the past two seasons with Swindon Town and Notts County. He has made just one appearance with the Andfield club, but has won praise for captaining their reserve team and was included in their 21 man squad for last season's Premier League.
  6. No way Feeney will be playing non league cant see him even making the drop to league two
  7. Donaldson reveals reasons behind Bees move Jul 6 2011 By Jacob Murtagh CLAYTON Donaldson revealed he turned down offers from Championship clubs to sign for Brentford. The former Crewe Alexandra striker became Uwe Rosler's fourth signing as Bees boss when he agreed a three-year deal on Friday. Brentford fought off competition from clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two for the 27-year-old, who smashed 29 goals last season. And he insists it was the vision of boss Rosler which made him put pen to paper at Griffin Park. He said: "There were quite a few offers on the table, some from Championship clubs as well. "It was hard to turn that down, but you only have to look at Craig Mackail-Smith, who snubbed a move to the Premier League to stay in the Championship with Brighton. "I've had a good season with Crewe and want to carry on that momentum. I'm not going to be able to do that if I'm sitting on the bench somewhere. "I need to be playing games to give me the best chance of improving and scoring goals. "Obviously, clubs in the Championship and the top of League One can pay bigger wages, but my number one priority is to play games. "After speaking to the manager on a few occasions I decided Brentford was the right move for me. I bought into his vision for the club and his ambition matches mine."
