    This bit especially applies to one of our idiots I saw walking back to the car park next to the athletic track...……...a number of policemen and women were "escorting" some of our lot away from the ground with one policeman videoing our fans and this particular "fan" took great delight in sticking his face right into the camera.....policeman angrily pushes him back in line only for said "fan" going back in for more camera shots. What a clever of getting yourself on the police database!!!

    I seem to recall reading he fronts up a successful family business which he enjoys and it would take something special to get him to give that up. But that was a couple of years ago in the Oldham Comical.

    Lyden.…..injured when he came and off the pace when he first got a chance. O'Grady heavily criticised until as being slow and off the pace. Maouche heavily criticised in his first year as being lightweight and off the pace. Missilou heavily criticised as being of more danger to our team until he got used to the pace. Taylor.….praised when he came for his experience as he was a "proper" left back. Baxter…..some were w*nking themselves when we re-signed him. Vera......one game. Scylla.….one and a half games. Read back and see the criticism for the first list of players when they first arrived and see how they are/were viewed. All I'm saying is players, especially the foreign contingent, need to be played in and any UK players may not necessarily work out when brought in.

    How many players at our financial and league level will be available that aren't cup tied? AL being in Dubai hasn't stopped us signing players to date and there is still just over a week to get players in...…….not worried.

    I'm still firmly of the opinion that Scholes will have more clout than you seem to think. Far more than Wellens or Bunn had.

    Just a thought...AL could have said a week ago from Dubai that he's getting the job on his return "meanwhile let me know your thoughts on the 2 new lads before we sign them".

    Minor irrelevant point....probably not worth mentioning but maybe Scholes insists on no players being sold without his say so.

    The difference this time is, IMHO, he can dictate terms because of his personal wealth. He will stand or fall by his own decisions.

    Have to disagree with this. With Scholes' financial status, it certainly won't be about the money. Scholes will feel he can make a difference and is a big enough name for him to be able to set out terms (not personal) on the way the club moves forward. Scholes will have enough "inside" knowledge about how the club is currently run to negotiate assurances and, I'm guessing here, AL is astute enough to see this as a marketing coup and is agreeable to these assurances. Another point (guess) I would add, maybe this is a springboard for additional financing from the Middle East.
