  1. The reduced budget is a fact of footballing life when you get relegated but any club that is relegated should consider themselves at least a playoff candidate. We lost our loan players from last season and all the disruptive elements. I had an expectation of promotion which was tempered because of Bunn's lack of managerial expertise which rapidly became evident as the season progressed.
  2. Your opinion might be 'ok' ....mine is 'less than satisfactory...see me'. The squad is not threadbare......it was just poorly managed under Bunn.
  3. Based on that, it looks like Keegan is stirring it up again with his "sacked by e-mail" story in the Mail.
  4. But was he wrong to sack Rhodes? Upturn in form and fitness points to it being a right decision.
  5. He went to Ipswich working for a "stable" chairman and got peddled after 5 months so I'm not sure where you would consider a stable job.
  6. Do we know yet whether the email sent to Bunn was a "sacking out of the blue" OR it was a confirmation after being told immediately after the Carlisle? I'm going for the second option.
  7. I'll take a guess at Clarke as player/manager with Santini as Director of Football.
  8. But we all trusted Tony P on a regular basis.
  9. Reading a number of posts about the last few days, I'm taking a guess at: - following the argument after the Exeter game, AL gave FB a warning. - FB told the players (if they did know and liked FB, then they certainly didn't give it their best shot to save him). - crap performance so AL told FB on the coach home to find a cardboard box and pick up your stuff - CONFIRMATION email on the following day Just a guess.....could be a good guess, could be total bollox!!!
  10. Genuine question because I can't recall but others may have a better idea but has Sheridan, at any point after his departure, commented on AL?
  11. Pack it in...…..you know the rules....no logical, cogent posts allowed.
  12. I wonder what the reaction would be if Wild/new manager picked the team up to beat a 2nd string Fulham in t'Cup?
  13. Unless your good lady watches them with you on a regular basis then she may have taken the view " Why do you spend all this money watching this crap every week?".
  14. Agree to an extent but I'm going to play devil's advocate on the basis of no information. Do we know if anything was said immediately after the match between AL and Bunn and was today's announcement a surprise to Bunn?
  15. Maybe, just maybe, we get someone who CAN make us effective on the pitch.
  16. Wasn't that Dickov's suggestion to go onto a rolling contract? I think you have hit on a potentially good idea.
  17. Being a lovely fella and nicey-nicey to us fans does not a good manager make and there is no evidence that continuing with an older rookie manager would propel us upwards.
  18. That could benefit both parties.....if said manager makes a success, AL could come back with a better deal or it would look good on his CV.
