  1. Do you recall the early Sunday football games. You paid for a teamsheet not to go in a football game. You could not charge for a professional spoting fixture on a Sunday so football clubs had to have a free game where you could get in without paying anything. The one at Oldham was in the back it the club shop and they would let you through if you asked. I found one at Crystal Palace one year for our game there - it was the police game which led into the away section.
  2. Sympathise with the intent Kev but here is the regs from ebay prohibited items: The resale of tickets for football matches is highly regulated in England and Wales for a number of reasons, including security at sports events. Criminal law often prohibits the resale of such football tickets. For these reasons, all listings for football tickets to association football matches occurring in England or Wales, or involving an English or Welsh national or club team playing outside England or Wales, are prohibited. In addition, all listings for tickets to association football matches occurring anywhere in the world that are part of a competition or tournament organised by FIFA or UEFA and that an English or Welsh national or club team has participated in, or is eligible to participate in, are also prohibited. For the avoidance of doubt this prohibition includes (without limitation) the following matches: * English Premiership, Football League, Football Conference and League of Wales matches * World Cup and European Championships matches (including qualifying rounds) * International matches played in England or Wales (including friendlies) * Friendlies involving England or Wales eBay may allow authorised sellers to list football tickets to these matches, but only through prior written agreement with eBay.
  3. That is reportable too. Kev I would take it down yourself as if it goes through ebay trust & saftey you could find a lot of hassle with listings in the future.
  4. Concert ticket resale is legal but sale of football tickets in UK is illegal.
  5. Just uploading the offers/swaps section on the shirts page of the website. Newly uploaded some 125 shirts. Included are a couple of Paul Warnes, Gregans, Taylor, Trotman and Poggy.
  6. Thanks for all the messages regarding the Bovis white #10. I have no set price and am looking for offers so please dont PM asking how much do you want.
  7. I have acquired a large collection of Latics player shirts and will be selling off a lot of duplicates. The first two will go on ebay on Sunday evening. First there is a white Bovis long sleeved shirt 89/90 season worn by Mike Milligan at West Ham in the league cup semi final. Second a pink shirt worn against Leeds United by Dean Windass - I guess that is a 5XL These are both genuine player match worn shirts. Shirts will be listed under the user name Premiershirts. Swaps or private sales will be considered.
  8. Hmmmm - I have a Jarrett 11 shirt from 2007/2008 home short sleeved that I have just picked up - she might have actually ebayed it - and JJ thought he was joking
  9. Too dear - listing fees, final value fees and paypal charges will cut into any profit considerably.
  10. That about sums it up - do you think it is a obession? I never say no when free in involved
  11. Note from the Pboro website they are selling DVD's of the game an Sat.... I know, I know before all the sarkey comments come in......... £5 for a full game DVD aint bad but £3.95 p&p (for up to 10 then free afterwards) is too much. Anyone interesting in buying together to reduce p&p send me a pm.
  12. Thats not a bad idea - as someone who has done some work in the clothing resale area a trader would only be looking at £1-£1.50 a unit for childrens clothes.
  13. The match report here is from the Burnley Mad website. Includes a interesting comment/observation on Latics teams The youth team lost by the odd goal in seven against visitors Oldham at Gawthorpe on Saturday morning. The size of our youth squad this year has meant that for each game we've played so far it has seen a number of changes. It was the same again this time round as 6 more players found themselves rotated. Dean Overson and Alex Coleman slotted into the centre of defence with Steve Edwards outside them on the left. Steven Hewitt and Tommy Taylor were back in and there was a first start for Republic of Ireland winger Adam Evans following his international clearance. The opening quarter of the game saw chances for both sides. Joe McKee had a rasping drive tipped over and Joe Jackson headed wide from a corner. Oldham meanwhile were looking dangerous with quick attacking play and were just unable to add the final touch to a number of good moves. They did though break the deadlock around 25 minutes in. It's one that will see stern words for Ben Woodhead I'd expect as a right wing corner was curled straight in by the taker. Oldham didn't run away with it though and we grabbed an equaliser from a familiar source. We were awarded a free kick outside the box and Joe McKee stepped up. From a range of 25 yards this lad is clinical with a dead ball so it was no surprise as he curled it over the wall and beat the despairing dive of the keeper. The half ended 1-1 and as we kicked off the 2nd and I'm sorry to say that a common theme with the Oldham teams I've seen started to rear its head. They really are a narky lot with limited vocabularies. Any refereeing decisions which didn't go their way were met with expletives towards the ref and he was forced to flash a yellow to the Oldham 8. It wasn't long into the half and we managed to grab the lead. A surging run from Joe Jackson was halted near the box and McKee picked it up, turning inside and hammering home from 18 yards. The visitors replied instantly as a quick break and deflected shot beat Woodhead. The game was becoming more and more feisty and the ref decided on an interesting tactic - he decided to stick his head in the sand. Both sides were putting in hard challenges and, while neither side were happy by the ref's choice to let everything go, it could have lead to injuries as the cantankerous number 9 went in hard and late on Dean Overson, ending his morning early. Ed Williams quite correctly pointed out that people were getting hurt and the ref should probably get a grip and was met with the pompous response 'I'm bossing this game'. Needless to say this was met with howls of derision from the touchline as he clearly wasn't bossing anything. Curtis Woods replaced Dean Overson and Ross Wilson came on for the fading Evans. Minutes later we conceded a penalty and it was a stonewaller. Oldham pumped the ball up to the forward and Edwards challenged aerially but mistimed his jump and it was little more than a push. The Latics took the lead from the spot and Burnley were staring down the barrel. With around 10 minutes remaining we were all treated to a rarity - certainly nothing I've ever seen in the flesh in over 25 years of watching the game. Ben Woodhead had the ball in his hands in the area and took a monstrous kick. It was going through to the keeper who took steps towards it but he misjudged the bounce and couldn't scramble back in time to stop it hitting the back of the net. Again though we were instantly undone as Oldham won a corner and we contrived to give an opposition player acres of space in the box despite all 11 being back in defence. The ball dropped to the deck and was dispatched, with the game then being seen out with a 4-3 scoreline in favour of the visitors. Team:- Ben Woodhead, Ed Williams, Steve Edwards, Dean Overson (Curtis Woods), Alex Coleman, Tommy Taylor, Joe McKee, Dave Lynch, Steven Hewitt, Adam Evans (Ross Wilson), Joe Jackson. Subs not used:- Christian Thewliss, Archie Love, Alex Mullin
  14. Yes - saw that and looked up the pub on google streetview. Hmmmm what a beautiful building
  15. Just got my Brentford tix - didnt realise you had to send them in until your post - thanks!!!
  16. Thats right Alec - there was also a Colbeck on the subs bench. Wonder if he is related to Joe?
  17. would be surprised if we see him again. Wasted too much posession and did not seem too hard working - especially when you consider he was on trial. Came off midway through second half with a stretched quad.
  18. And David Eyres was watching the youth team on Sat AM
  19. Damp squib or didnt take place?. Had a look in the tuck shop and saw the piles of boxes but none on offer.
