  4. Hmmmm well it might have something to do with the fact you keep winking and 'poking' me on Facebook!!!
  5. Oi Rich, you stalker!!! Is that 'Sam' as in 'me'??? Thought you sat in the Main Stand these days..........you must have the binoculous out to see that far!
  6. Just looked on Cheltenham's official site and it states that he is able to play after clearance by Preston.
  7. Hehe, it;s no secret I am in the Warney/Stammy fan club!!!
  8. Oi Chaddy................. were you giving me the eye at the game today??? You big flirt!
  9. Hmmmmm let me think!!! I do know a bloke who is good mates with him and he said he is the nicest, most modest bloke you'd ever meet!
  10. Hmmmmmm..... would you give up a 19year old hobby for a woman? It's a hobby that brings my family together too, so that would mean upsetting them for not spending time with them. Should he not just try and come to a game once in a while, just as I did what he wanted me to do? And no rude comments thanks!!
  11. Haha! Nah he was just Irish!!!! Liked the finer things in life........errrm, Gaelic football Would not accept you have to give and take, and I ain't giving up a 19year hobby for no man!!!
  12. That rings a bell, for opposite reasons!! I was dating a guy who hated football and dumped me coz he said I thought more about football than about him! He said I fitted him in around Latics games and that he wanted me to put him first........... and then proceeded to dump me because of it! A bloke who hates football??? What's the world coming to??? What a
  13. I was there yesterday and I must admit that I did think he purposely went over to their fans to do his 'jig'. He only came away from them when our other players joined him to celebrate and they turned him away from them. I said to my family that I wished he would stop doing it. Ok the dance is fine but don't run over and purposely wind the opposing fans up. I'm preparing for the slating now, but it was just an opinion from what I saw yeterday.......
  14. Matt you wind-up merchant! You know I knew he was him. You even Googled him when I got back to work and I confirmed it...........and then you suggested I put it on here! :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: Thanks Andy for backing me up!!!!
  15. I asked how many we had sold when I bought mine at 1ish today and she said only 2 hundred and odd. Think you can pay on the day but didn't want to chance it!
  16. Nothing groundbreaking really ...........but as I was getting my Hartlepool tickets I saw Earl going into the main entrance along with Derek Hatton and (I presume) his wife. Mr.Hatton was saying something like ''as you're very well known and highly regarded here'', or words to that effect. Hmmmmmm......anyone shed any light on this???
  17. I was sat right in front of the 'incident' and there were kids as young as 7 or 8 giving the 'V's' (and more) all through the game. They probably see and hear worse in the playground. I initially thought the player had done it coz he misheard the ''hoof'' chant and thought we were saying something racist i.e. without the h and the f!! Then again what do I know?
  18. Clare, you don't remember anything hahaha!!! Unlike me who remembers everything about being up close to Stammy What a great day it was, and I was proud to be in 109 with the hardcore! I took a lot of pics from the day/night if there's somewhere on here I can upload them?
  19. Just thought I'd share this with you all and say well done to all who were shouting his name from the rooftops!!!................ I was talking to someone who is a good mate of Cooksey's and he was sent loads of clips of the Latics fans chanting his name at Crewe. He in turn forwarded them on to Ernie and he was in tears watching them. What an amazing show of support from the fans. It's nice to know he appreciates all that's being done for him. Cheers Sam
  20. I was lucky enough to be invited into the Lounge afterwards where Warney happily chatted to us, so much so that we were the only ones left in there! (not just me and him I might add!!) I've never had the pleasure of meeting such a lovely bloke (well apart from Stammy 15mins prior to that, but we won't go into that!!) He was saying he was made up with the reception he got and was buzzing when he came on. He did comment on the 'booing' at his first touch, and thought it was hilarious, great Northern humour that was typical of Latics fans. He admitted that when he was walking off at the end, the emotion hit him and he cried like a baby. I asked if he misses us and he said ''oh yes!'' I could talk about that guy all night but wouldn't want to bore everyone LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Wardle sent me a Facebook message and said we need to drop Stammy!!!!!!!! Don't know whether he was winding me up though coz he knows I have a soft spot for him! It did sound like we held our own for the majority of the game. The commentator seemed to think Davies wound their fans and players up so that didn't help, as it made the atmosphere more volatile. Unlucky boys!
