  1. He let a lot of things go for both sides. If anything I thought he gave some bizarre decisions to them. He really didn't have a lot to do to be fair, big decision wise.
  2. Let's forget the first half..... played a little football the second half with balls to feet and we scored 3 goals. We won't concede many this year. Iversen is a good fnd and his rushing out and shot stopping is top notch. We seem pretty solid if dire to watch at times but as I've said before if we are winning then so be it.... can't argue with 3-0!! We seem to run for 90 odd minutes, Gardner included today. Clarke, Iversen and Surridge with mentions. Clarke didn't put a foot wrong and won everything today. Iversen made the save first half (and a few others) to keep it 0-0 which I feel was crucial before halftime. Surridge running with the ball at defenders will cause trouble and scored 2. My MOM is Clarke, he done his job for 90 odd mins, Surridge scored the goals in 2!!!
  3. Get in. Ball at Surridges feet causing them so much trouble. Get in again!! Another mazey run!!
  4. Nothing going forward for 34 minutes. I can see why we go long as every one of them struggle to find a pass to feet, even when there is time on the ball. O'Grady maybe should of picked a pass when he aimed for the top corner. Lang could of done better with his header. If we could find Lang and Surridge to feet and they get turned, feel they would cause them a lot of problems, hence why Langs marker knows what colour his boxers are as he's glued to his ass! Can see Nepo and Baxter on soon.
  5. Thought Nepo would of came back in. Lang to RW, Nepo LW,
  6. I would tend to agree with the stamina point, same as last season. He has a 20 min spell where he tracks and wins the ball back and makes some good passes and involved in evsrything. He fades badly around 50/60 mins and tends then to go missing and struggles thereafter. Thought he has had a stamina problem since the start of last season.
  7. Have to say that I agree with this. This league is terrible from what I've seen. Andy Taylor I thought played well as did Missilou. O'Grady had a decent game today. Have to say i thought Branger offered nothing. Was surprised when O'Grady came of as he was winning headers and surely it was obvious they were going to sit deep? Surridge spent the last half hour falling over and fouling people. Felt this was actually the best we have played funny enough- until we went behind then we had no clue what to do. We tend to make poor decisions which have cost us today really. Missolou went right when breaking and we had two over on his left, is a casing point. Deserved a draw out of this at least, they were pretty bad and won, Gardner over running the ball which cost us, couldn't see them or us scoring to be honest. MOM today is Taylor with a special mention for Missilou.
  8. All came from Gardner, he's had a very poor second half.
  9. Can't argue with a 2-0 scoreline. First half we were awful and scored 2, second half we were dire, but kept a clean sheet, don't know how they didn't score though and feel in other games we won't get so lucky. It was them attacking and we defended. We are long ball, poor quality and struggle to string passes together but if todays performance is what it takes to win games I will settle for it. Played pretty last season and got relegated. Iversen is my MOM. Kept them at bay and made it not an Oldham type game finish for a change!
  10. Giving them the incentive here. Need to string more than 2 passes together, keep possession and take sting outa this game.
  11. Game far from over, could easily be 2-2 now. Need to stay focused and start the second half well. Nothing silly by Gardner in terms of fouls and see the game out. In all honesty thought we were dire before we scored and havent been very good since that either. The long passes (being generous) out from the back are suspect to say the least! But we are two up.... so happy days!!! Graham on, maybe going 3 at back.
  12. Well fuk me..... O'Grady scores..... match so far has been awful,.... well fuk me again..... Nepo scores when he normally hits the stars!!!!
  13. That was an awful game. Two poor sides tonight with no quality, hoof ball and that's about it. Pattison for them was a disgrace, couldn't look at him but he was on the ground. Lost shape when Nepo went of. No point playing Baxter if we are hoofing it to no one in particular. He must of had about 10 touches second half. Special mention for O'Grady, unbelievable how bad his touch was, got the ball muddled between his feet more than once, passing was tripe, shocking display. Positives are we gained a point, defence looked solid enough, Edmundson had another good game, Missilou was more aware tonight and done well. MOM- easy, Edmundson.
  14. Jesus christ O'Gradys touch has been abysmal tonight.
  15. That was not a good half of football. Easy sub, Miller for Lang. Nothing happening in the game, stop-start, really poor quality. Lots of hoof ball, nothing sticking for us, O'Grady ineffective, Nepo needs to try something different to beat a man, far to predictable. We are a very slow side, lacking pace badly. Up side, they have been as bad as us and we look okay in defence.
  16. No Surridge will be a miss., Baxter on bench again, has to play at some point tonight surely. No Coke, Missilou gets another bite at it. Miller and O'Grady are far to similar, no runs in behind anyway!! Let's hope ball sticks when up top.
  17. Would keep the same side, in saying that I think Coke needs to vastly improve because if he keeps on playing the way he is (poor touch, poor passing, labouring about) how long do you persist with it. I'd give him a chance to keep improving, although he was poor yesterday, he was better than vs Forest Green.
  18. Was just going say about CM options. Maouche, havent really seen enough of him to say he would be a better option than Coke, Missilou puts himself about and I would play him before Coke. Problem is Missilous positional sense is lacking and from what I've seen is ala Fane regards cards. Where does Uche play? Is he a CM? Loan maybe the best option as Baxter is more effective pushed on as you say.
  19. My word that second half was strange. Scored two goals and won 3-1 but were poor from the start of the second half. Suppose you can look at it two ways, we dug in and put everything on the line to keep ahead or we were rubbish second half and made them look good and could of threw a 2 goal lead away. I'll be positive and go for the first option. Should of brought Jose on to calm things down at 2-1, must be a reason he didn't come on. Defence threw themselves at everything. Few hairy moments to say the least. Clarke and Edmunson were rocks. O'Grady had a decent game and linked play well. Surridge took his goal beautifully and will only get better. Gardner had his usual game. Well done to Miller. Coke..... no idea. My MOM is Edmunson/Clarke, can't decide.
  20. Doesn't matter how they go in!! Take it all day long. Haven't started second half well either.
  21. Decent half. O'Grady having his best game by miles, some good link up play and decent touches. Front two working well. Nepo's right foot is clearly for standing on! Some good crosses by him and Taylor. Coke, think he's lost, even his passes seem laboured. Good game, we are still giving them chances by silly mistakes, get another one early hopefully, control the game.
  22. First half we were pretty bad, improved second half (which wasnt hard to be honest) with Baxter on and passing seemed quicker and with more aim! O'Grady had a thankless task up there and he made it seem more difficult as he was running through treacle with his boots on the wrong feet! If the idea is to play of him, when he wins or even loses out, we were that deep none of our midfielders haf a sniff to compete for the ball, need to be higher up. Lacked numbers in the box when decent crosses came in, Nepo needs to keep them away from the keeper, played a few into his hands. Coke- 2 games and he's done nothing, what is his natural position? Can't be behind the front man, no movement, slow and poor touch. Young George scares the life outa me when he gets turned and chases the ball towards his goal with time, his passing was poor today. Think he will get better and better with games. Iversen was top notch and made 3 good stops. Baxter changed the game for us and won the pen. Graham unlucky to slip and like the look of him. Gardner has effort and seems to care. Got out of jail today. Need to vastly improve performance wise. Few of our old boys played well, thought Winchester, Mills and Reid had good games for them. Reid was a pain in the arrse all game and held the ball up extremely well. Iversen gets my MOM.
