  1. A couple of months towards the end of last season. Was busy in Huddersfield doing Uni coursework. Unless you count when I was a kid I didn't get to matches too often.
  2. Hoolahan + Parker + 500k. In otherwords, no, unless they're stupid enough to actually accept such an offer.
  3. 2 goals in 100 odd games, that can't be right surely? He's only 21.
  4. We've got the new facilities and stadium redevelopment to strengthen our monetary situation. Better TV coverage? Perhaps, but most fans go to the games anyway or listen on world. And trips to better grounds, seems like a luxury now but after 6 years in The Championship they won't seem all that pretty and we'll want better, again.
  5. Does it matter which division we struggle in, League One or Championship? We'll still be a nobody club to everyone else unless we got into the Premiership and into the top 6, which just won't happen any time in the next few decades. To see Oldham win an FA CUP would be a once in a lifetime event. Getting promoted to The Championship would be small beans compared to winning the FA CUP. Like I said, what's the difference between mediocre seasons in League One and The Championship if we could win the FA CUP? I want us to get promoted, I'd like us to be in The Championship, but if it's a choice between promotion to a division we'd continue to perform average in or win the FA CUP, then there's just no contest.
  6. Don't think we'll go up. Don't have the squad for it. We'll end up around 11th.
  7. Never fear the Wolf is here. Good player is Wolfy, doesn't get many opportunities but definitely should start next game and Saturday.
  8. I'd take winning the F.A Cup this season even if it meant Latics not getting promoted for another decade!
  9. It's really nothing to do with where Scunny are either, it's the level of opposition. Taylor might be out of his depth at Championship level against the likes of Sheffield United, Charlton and Watford, but he could prove to be a better player against teams like Yeovil, Chletenham, Bristol Rovers, Hartlepool. So Scunny's league position isn't a reflection of his ability at all.
  10. Telling the guy that he had a contract waiting for him at the end of the season is simply unfair though. And most people hated Porter because he said he'd sign a new deal if he wasn't sold last January. What goes around comes around. I like Warney, he's a good squad player, would have been ideal me thinks. Anyone who thinks Liddell stikk has the legs needs to take a second look, he's slow and his technical ability to skin players counts for nothing as he doesn't have the legs to beat a man. Although he's definitely an impact player from the bench.
  11. I'd be over the moon for a Wellens return. Can't see why he would want to come back though. Oh wait; yes I can - £££!
  12. The people on the Trashmoore board seem to think they are close to signing Andy Bishop. http://onenightingayparis.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=930 http://onenightingayparis.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=845
  13. Still think we should take a punt on Glenn Murray, I know Brighton were interested in him. He's a good striker with great technique, good dribbling, agile and scores goals. His goal yesterday was pretty decent, skinned a defender then rounded the keeper. He'll eventually go to one of our rivals like Doncaster of Huddersfield or someone if we don't snap him up.
  14. And end of season loan is a lot better than signing him to be honest.
  15. Revolution, the Oldham based radio service which has only started to cover OLDHAM matches. They can keep their mickey mouse support. I'll buy world before I listen to Revolution, at least some of my money goes to the club if I buy world.
  16. 500k is nothing compared to the 7 million the Championship team who buys him off us makes when a Premiership team buys him. Trotters is a class defender, NOT FOR SALE!
  17. Especially for a guy with "no ambition". It is exactly what he wanted though, one good season at an SPL side then a move to the Premiership.
  18. There were THREE defenders on the box, two in the middle, one closing down Davies. Davies did the right thing, to square it the Hughes he'd have to hope the ball beat the three defenders and somehow found Hughes.
