  1. If Kabba scores it will be at night , not at the game. How anybody ever paid half a million for him is beyond me. He'll obviously score the winner tomorrow, now.
  2. yes that's the fourth thing you need to have - compromising pictures of those in charge.... step forward mr and mr neville, glen johnson, and more....
  3. This is getting interesting. My opinion on Lee is that he's got a fair amount of talent, but he needs an arm around his shoulder and a bit of tlc. There's something missing, but you don't get to stay at OT until you're 19 or so, if you're not worth a try. There are 3 things that make a successful footballer and you need all 3 of them - skill/talent at football, fitness and the correct mental attitude. You can play up to our level with 2 out of 3. In fact there's some players who've played for England who've got minimal talent, but who have got the other 2 sorted. How many players have we seen who have got no talent, but are fit and their head's right, and how many have we seen fall by the wayside who have talent, but their head's away with the fairies? In fact thinking about it, we've got a few at the moment who probably have only got 1 one of these.

    MOTM Vs. Swindon

Yes, I was disappointed by both of them, and am expecting much more from these two. I'll reserve judgement on them both. We need 30+ plus goals combined from 2 strikers this season, not sure who that might be so far.

    MOTM Vs. Swindon

Here's my ratings for the game: Brill 5 (mistake for the 1st and flapped at several crosses, is lacking confidence) Gilbert 6 (seemed ok for me, not sepcatular, but solid, worth a longer contract at this level) Hazell 4 (terrible mistake for 2nd goal, and looks a shadow of his former self-what's gone wrong?) Gregan 6 (won lots of headers, but looked short of pace. This is his last season at this level) Holdsworth 6 (ok, did not do much wrong and his distribution was good in the 2nd half. Didn't notice he was playing until the 2nd half) Parker 6 (first time I've seen him for us, and he could do so much better, remembering how he tore us apart for Blackpool) Worthington 7 (solid, and good in ther tackle, but had to tone it down after being booked in the 1st half) Taylor 7 (flashes of pace and one good cross goal shot in the first half, he'll get better) :censored: 8 ( my MOM, looked good, solid in the tackle and good passing) Abbott 6 (another who flatterd to deceive, his pace reminded me of Beckett, yes the one with bricks in his boots) Blackman 7 (good debut, and looked a good player in bursts, willing to run and fight for the ball, with some good touches) Whitaker 6 (deserves a start, rather than Parker) Furman 6 (first time I've seen him and for the few minutes he was on, I was wondering why he hadn't started the game)
  6. ok, I was at Saturday's game, and the 2nd goal was certainly Reuben's fault. During the game he looked to be lacking in confidence, slower than at his best and not covering the goal and denying player's space or leading them to nowhere land, as he used to. Something's gone wrong, and we'll probably never know what it is. Penney's no fool, and he'll be doing his best to sort it out, whether it's trying to sort Reuben's head out, or getting a CB in to presssurise or take his place, I'd like to think there's a plan B in place for the next game.
  7. Certainly brings a tear to the eye. I'll be donating to this great cause. Thankfully I now have 3 healthly children, but prior to this have been through 3 miscarriages, a still born and an eggtopic, put's everything else in life that we think is bad into perspective. Was at the MEN on Saturday and thought Lidds was brilliant, didn't know at the time. Pass the link on to as many people as you can.
  8. Was on the train to greenfield, got on at 5 to 11, after leaving after the final v bolton. The train was due to leave at 11 and it eventually left after midnight, after 4,000 people got on, then 2,000 got off, they put on 2 extra carriages at the front, and the whole train huffed and puffed out of victoria, and once it going went like.. the clappers. got home at 1, but still had a great night.
  9. Ok, is today's news of Wolfy out, Lee available for a loan, to be followed by the 3rd piece, which will be Lee Hughes signs on? Some extra space has been made for his (or ANO) additional wage.
  10. Yes, I'd have him back, too. I put a question on the Wolves 606 board, and got this response: Cant see him making our first team, but we have entered into the reserve league this year, I can see him being loaned out and maybe even sold. He signed a new deal untill 2010 last October so will be available on a "free" at the end of next season. I dont think he is good enough for the premiership, and I dont think he played particually well when I have seen him in the championship. I did watch the Oldham game on Sky and he looked comfortable in league 1. He can improve, maybe another year in league 1 and then move up to the championship.
  11. After being on £50k a week at United for a few years, if not more, does he really need any more? I know we would all like more money, but I think Scholesy is more of a principled person than one who's in it for the money. Living in Grasscroft would mean a 15 minute drive to training, sure his castle is already well paid for, he'd have thousands of adoring fans, many extra season ticket holders, and the chance to play for his beloved 'tics, and shine in a promotion winning team. (ok I've just woken up from this dream) Stoke v Oldham, no comparison!!!!!!!!!
  12. Report on Radio Manchester now says a paper has said he's been offered a player coach role at Stoke. Personally I'd love to see him at Latics, though he's possibly only got one good season left in him, and please no tackles like the one in the Champions League final, you'll miss more games than you'll play with all the yellow and red cards meaning suspensions. come on Scholesy, you know it makes sense....
  13. Respect to you all. I've got 49 made up of 14 in the Prem, 14 in the championship, 10 in league one and 11 in league two, a few of those also watching England. Further afield I've got 20 away grounds across Europe watching England;3 now in the conference from when they were in the league -Cambridge,Wrexham and York;4 in Scotland, including Hampden watching Queen's Park with only 2,000 there for a league cup game;and 7 other non league- Halifax,Stalyvegas,Hyde,Southport,Bishop Auckland,Chasetown,Mossley
  14. yes was there too. lots of orange and a nice sweet smell wafting up, from the stand below! Darius Vassell scored i think with a scissors type kick at the opposite end to us. KTF
  15. On BBC Radio Manchester, after an hour and a half saying that they understand that Dave Penney is a leading contender to be the new manager, they've just said (6.05pm) that he WILL be the new manager. Initial thoughts? For me, not a big name, but seemed to be successful at Doncaster and doing ok at Darlo. will want to prove himself. BUT, not a big name, that will sell many season tickets. Willing to wait and see how it goes, and will support him fully.
