  1. I reckon about 7,000 with just over 2,000 from Dale. We need a win to get back on track, so let's go for 3-2, with White,Taylor and Tonk.
  2. Favourite Match 2010: Huddersfield first half at home - it could have been 5 or 6, and we saw Felipe Morais rip them to shreds, the sh**p sh**ers. Least Favourite Match 2010: Brentford at home - after that I thought we were going down, and it couldn't get any worse. Most entertaining match: Plymouth at home - 1-0,1-1, 2 sent off, 1-2 (oh no it can't be), 2-2 (come on), added time 3-2 and 4-2, unbelievable. Least entertaining match: Most of Penney's games, but Brighton and Brentford at home spring to mind as amongst the worst. Best atmosphere at a match in 2010: Dagenham away, singing all the way, and a great goal in front of us. We didn't play as well as we can, but we stuck to it and ground out a great win. Favourite Latics related moment of 2010: Listening to PD,GT and PB at the meet the manager at the Milan, the spirit they've given to the team, and what they can achieve sees us in a good place at the moment, with a good chance of promotion out of this division, which is long overdue. Player of 2010: Sean Gregan last season and Kieron Lee this season. Goal of 2010:[/b] Aiden White against Exeter.
  3. Still see Jim bowie at home games, in main stand. Jim Bow, Jim Bow, Jim Bowie, Jim Bowie,Jim Bowie Maurice '90 miles an hour' Whittle. Happy days.
  4. I don't think the Football League (with the exception of MK Franchise) don't let clubs play outside of their metropolitan/council area. I was at one of the meetings at Chadderton school with some of the directors taking questions, and this was one of the responses, as to why couldn't we build a ground on available land in Tameside or Rochdale, of which there seems to be more available of the size we're looking for. Can't remember the exact size now, but it was either 30 acres or 30,000 square metres.
  5. golden disc and Javelin were both in the arcade. spent many an hour in them both late 70's and early 80's on the way home from school. Picture discs, and red, blue and all colours of vinyl. There was also a great shop on high street , opposite the old town hall, that sold great scalextric. New and old and cars and track you couldn't seem to get anywhere else. anyone remember that one?
  6. What about apostrophes? or should that be apostrophe's (sic) The number of times you see them wrong in shop windows, even on van signs is amazing. The apostrophe is used: 1.To indicate the possessive. 2.To indicate missing letters. 3.Sometimes to indicate the structure of unusual words. Strange but true, not for plurals, Boring I know, but hey ho!
  7. The best bit from the previous message is Penney was desperate
  8. Game could be rescheduled for 8th January, we're not playing due to southamtpon being in the FA Cup, and Swindon were due to be playing Orient, who are also in the 3rd round.
  9. Rochdale 2 - 3 Oldham Taylor, Furman and White 2 for O'Grady 6,599 We go 2 down , and then fight back to win 3-2, in the last 5 minutes. 2-0 up and you ************* it up!
  10. I've not been to a London('ish) away game for a while. The support was brilliant, with great songs and backing throughout the game. Made the train, train, bus, walk:walk, bus, train, train, walk, tube, train worthwhile. Wish I'd not got the 7.40 back from Euston though, it ended up at least an hour late, getting back into stockport about half 10. Hope the game at Rochdale is on tomorrow, giving us a chance to get up to 3rd place.
  11. I'm a geek, ok I looked on the old fixtures 11th March 2008 , Tuesday night v Bournemouth, 3,633 (71 away fans)
  12. oh chrissy talyor I'd let you mmmm my wife! funny song from Dagenham. Frist time I've heard it, maybe it's been done before?
  13. Dagenham 1 Latics 3 Stephens, Taylor and Tonk. 2,725 (525 'tics)
  14. How many Latics fans will be there tomorrow? I reckon we will fill the away end, which seems to hold around 500, should be a great atmosphere. I'm in London today with work, so am taking the opportunity to stop over with my son tonight, who lives in North London, and go to the match tomorrow. We're really looking forward to this game, there's a real buzz at the moment. Am a season ticket holder , but don't get to many away games, due to family and other commitments, so we're making a real day of it, and out on the pop in London tonight. Thanks to all for the tips on getting to the game from Euston, seems like a bit of a trek, but should be well worth it. Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Latics 3 Dale 3 Furman, Lee, Taylor and you just know O'Grady's going to score for them! 6,567
  16. £44 return at Virgin Trains http://www.buytickets.virgintrains.co.uk/c...mmand=TimeTable
  17. Frustrating. when he came on Saturday as a sub I immediately thought , he's only doing that so he can play in the next international, as somewhat glamorous one against Italy in belfast. For me also, his prioirties are in the wrong place. He's got a lot of catching up to do, to get me on his side from now on in.
  18. My son lives in north London, so I'm going to combine the Brentford game with a trip to see him. Have I read somehwere that you can get and use vouchers for cheaper tickets to London or elsewhere games or did I dream this one? any help much appreciated.
  19. It was a good turnaround today, the sign of a team on the up is to win, when you play either badly or below par. Bornemouth deserved to win for their neat play, and lose for their timewasting tactics. Dickov is to thank for the win, by good substitutions at the right time, and not giving up. Lewi did well when he came on, and Kelly as an extra striker didn't really do much but he put himself about and panciked their defence. For me M'Voto is poor, he can't kick a ball properly, why didn't Jarrett start, he's much better for me, and has good distribution. Gregan must be wondering why he can't get in the team, if M'Voto is playing. Jones had an off day, and Taylor is on another planet, where is the player from 2 or 3 seasons ago, you don't lose the ability, but you can lose either confidence or motivation, or both? Onwards and upwards, in the top 6 again.
