  2. and his turtle neck run. Straight back, head back and turtle waddle. wish him good luck. I thought Calvin Zola would never make it, and he's gone on to have a half decent career at a lower league level.
  3. Initials MT, and he plays for a club associated with Wedgewood?
  4. though the number 4 midfielder from first half and came back in second was worth another look at. also what about Mossley's number 7, tricky winger?
  5. Thought the left back , number 17 who came on for Black last night weas good, especially in the second half. He was good going forward, linked well with Morais and the midfield. would like to see him again. Heard him speak to Morais and Redi when they were warming up in the first half, and he sounded south african or american, i know not much difference there.
  6. yes, looking forward to tonight, and trying to figure out who the trialists are. anyone know who any of them are?
  7. age 33, playing non league for Chorley, after previous clubs of Saw him on Sky at the weekend play against PD in BA legends from Barbados, you never know. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Jansen
  8. Is he Fred Eyre's son? The one who is a pundit on radio manchester when citeh are playing away. His son did a similar pundit role when FCUM played Dale in the cup, for me he talked a lot of sense, and seemed to know a lot about the non league players and game.
  9. Trotters was great first time around, but last season after about 5 games he looked a pale (!?!) shadow of his former self. I would imagine he's not Dickov's first choice , after hardly playing him in the last 10 games or so.
  10. yes , local lad, born and bred in buenos coldies. dad first took him when he was 7, watched cultured midfielder/defender dougie hodgson, and been hooked ever since
  11. how do i let you know if i want to buy a jockey or horse. might not be able to make it on the night, but would like to contribute.
  12. He was on loan to us in 2004, but didn't play in the first team, according to wikipedia. Thought i remmeber seeing him play though?
  13. Renewed earlier, and asked how it's going. Seems like the sales are around 1,000 so far, hoping for the next 4 days to be busy.
  14. We need a couple of big tent signings to stir the fans into acton to buy before the deadline. I'm going to get one away, but am waiting to see if the extend the deadline as they have done once or twice before - you never know.
  15. Here's another one to maybe try for? He's scored 40 or so goals for Flixton this season, with Carlisle one of anumber of clubs interested in him. "According to the News & Star, "Carlisle United are reportedly tracking non-league goal machine Astley Mulholland, [a former Alty Youth player]. Mulholland, who plays for Vodkat Premier Division side Flixton, has been invited to train with the Cumbrians in pre-season. But United are only one of a number of teams tracking the 40-goal hitman, who recently spent time with Crewe and Kidderminster. The Blues have not commented on reports of their interest in the 22-year-old, who is the leading scorer in the ninth-tier North-West Counties League. But the diminutive striker’s manager, Lloyd Morrison, said the talented frontman will be in demand this summer. 'If he chooses the right club he will score goals at any level' Morrison said. 'He’s got the ability and goalscorers are few and far between. I think he should just choose whichever club is best for him'. "
  16. Dean Brill - keep, and sign a young prem/championship loanee. Yes I know Amos didn't really work out. Josh Ollerenshaw - bye bye Paul Gerrard - coach only Andy Todd - thank you, goodnoght Reuben Hazell - offer 1 year on reeuced wages Kieran Lee - keep, though be willing to accept £250,000 + Paul Black - keep James Tarkowski - keep Mathew Carr - don't know enough about him Rod McDonald - release Cedric Evina - keep Carl Winchester - keep Ritchie Jones - great promise, but has been a let down, release Dean Furman - keep, though be willing to accept £350,000 + Lewis Alessandra - release -what a shame, has showed great promise, but never delivered consistently Chris Taylor - keep, though be willing to accept £350,000 + Dale Stephens - reinvest some of the money Kirk Millar - keep Filipe Morais - keep Phil McGrath - don't know enough about him Connor Hughes - don't know enough about him David Mellor - don't know enough about him Ryan Burns - don't know enough about him Deane Smalley - keep Reuben Reid - offer him a 6 month contract, time to prove himself. he looks good in glimpses, be worth keeping and giving him a chance IMO Warren Feeney - what a complete let down, please sell him, loan him,pay him off or by him a one way ticket to Belfast. He'll probably be one of those who comes back to haunt us though, with at least one goal. Ryan Brooke - keep Djeny Bembo-Leta - keep Loanees Aidy White - get hiom back til Christmas, he'll come good. Jason Lowe - try and get him on a full season loan Tonks - sadly, no, tries his heart out, but won't make a pro IMO, but I sadi that about Calvin Zola, similar type of player, and he's still playing 6 or 7 years on. M'Voto - yes please, more people to sign up to playershare, to help to pay his and Cedric's wages.
  17. Brill Lee M'voto Tarky Evina Taylor Furman Lowe White Reid Brooke Dockov last 15 minutes Reid's last chance saloon Feeney comes on as a sub, and surprises us all with a goal.
  18. oh well, I'm behind the times here, forget that one. The year end of the old Latics, pre 2004, was 31st May.
  19. another rumour: The season tickets discount deadline is 19th May, to get as much revenue in as possible before the 31st May year end, and to allow time after selling tickets before the year end to bring in transfer revenue. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????
  20. What do we think the crowd will be on Saturday? I'll go for 3,800 with 350 from franchise FC. Last season it was 3,630 and that was on a Tuesday night, won 2-1, with sheehan's great goal, and that curler from good old Kiegan Parker. Our average attendance last season was 4,630, and so far this season it's 4,407. Statto , over and out.
