  1. Hmm... not sure.. I don't see 'Listen Live' right now. When I'm logged in and I click on match centre from the 'matches' area I see this. The 'Access to live commentary on iFollow will be available here shortly before kick-off' changes to the two options I mentioned. Listen Live and Watch. Not sure when it changes but I believe it to be very close to kick off. If you're in the UK or Ireland you'll only see one option - Listen Live. If you're overseas and you have the appropriate subscription plan you will see both options. I'm using Chrome browser.
  2. Also - if you want tech support you'll typically find a 'live chat' option on matchdays. It appears as a hovering speech bubble in the browser at the bottom right on matchdays. (when in match centre)
  3. The way to get to the live streamed match is to click on match centre (when it's matchday) and then from match centre there are typically 2 options. 'Listen Live' and 'Watch Live' (above the play button bar). I learned last week that it's possible to have two browser windows open - one with the audio stream and one with the live stream. If you pause the live video stream until the audio stream is in sync it's great
  4. Some player ratings Ben Wilson - 5/10 Distribution was generally OK on a very windy day. Couldn't be expected to save Wigan's first but better communication and compusure may have prevented Wigan's second. A couple of regulation saves, along with a generous manager appraisal may build some much needed confidence. Dummigan - 5/10 A willing runner but too often the cause of lost attacking momentum by taking an easy backwards pass. Looks a different player to the marauding wing-back seen during his initial loan spell. Clarke - 4/10 A dismal start to the season continues for Latics' captain. Took the physical battle to Wigan today and made a couple of key interceptions but could perhaps have marshaled the defense better for the first (stopped the short corner / cross) and definitely for the second. Gerrard - 4/10 A lackluster performance. Struggled with the speed of the Wigan forwards. Hunt - 4/10 Looked lost in midfield. Not quick enough to exploit attacking opportunities and didn't prevent Wigan from playing through midfield in the first half. Would have been better at leftback. Brian Wilson - 4/10 Not a left back but performed the most basic of defensive duties. Failed to get forward throughout the game. Banks - 4/10 Unable to hold onto possession in the first half. Tackle shy and lacking fight. A back heeled shot the flamboyant highlight of a performance which didn't get the basics right. Gardner - 6 A measured debut as a holding / deep lying play maker. Moved the ball well and looked to bring players into the game in useful positions. Holloway - 3 Cut an isolated figure for 60 minutes and wasn't able to hold onto possession. Wasn't ever in a threatening position when a cross came in. Kyeremeh - 6 An enthusiastic debut from a tricky player with a very low centre of gravity; showed glimpses of skill and ability but also struggled with the pace of the game at times. McLaughlin - 7 Stand out performer. Had the beating of the left back aerially. Troubled the Wigan defense with attacking runs and put in a number of excellent crosses, albeit to an empty penalty area. Osei - 5 Got involved and offered a different challenge for the Wigan defense. Lacked composure after getting into some useful positions. Duffus - 3 Needs to show more to earn a place in the starting eleven. Out muscled and had little impact on the game. Fawns - N/A A useful cameo. Sheridan - 3 Up against it today against quality opposition. Made a number of decisions which contributed to the scoreline. A relatively negative home formation (4-1-4-1) which invited pressure with Wigan having little to no worries from a lone isolated striker. A number of failed experiments with Wilson in at leftback and Hunt pushed into midfield. Persevering with one up front for the whole of the first half was questionable. Seemingly asked the team to pass the ball out even when Wigan were pressing hard - admirable but also doesn't account for our current squad's ability levels.
  5. I watched the game using iFollow / NordVPN and it worked like a charm on both the ioS app and on Win 10. Shame about the 2nd half performance though.
  6. It's working for me but horrible interlacing issues when the camera pans:
  7. Sorry if this one has already been posted re: David Mellor: http://www.nwemail.co.uk/Barrow-AFC-midfielder-faces-heart-tests-after-fainting-episode-4ed520bc-5170-4bf5-b334-33e4487ed39e-ds
  8. Is it possible to point me in the direction of the article / interview which mentions the 'now have a bit of momentum' part of your quote?
  9. I don't live in Oldham so make of this what you will: http://www.lgcplus.com/Journals/2012/03/21/g/u/x/lgcawardswinners_txt_reduced.pdf- pg 11 http://www.lgcplus.com/Journals/2014/03/20/a/z/k/The-2014-Awards-Winners-Supplement.pdf- pg 13 http://www.oldham.gov.uk/press/article/574/independent_review_hails_oldham_councils_remarkable_transformation- peer review can be downloaded at the bottom of the article It also appears overall satisfaction with the council has increased from 22% in 2008 to 65% in the 2015 survey (still lower than national average but looks like it's going in the right direction)
  10. I'm happy; Crofty is quality. With Forte (left) and Crofty (right) we will be a threat on the wings.
  11. Seems a little harsh to leave out James Wilson. I wouldn't have voted for him as number one but he'd be above Mills and Elokobi for me.
  12. When does the 3-5-2 experiment stop? We used it during pre-season against Barrow and we were shockingly poor. We've used it towards the start of the season in the league and not shown any sign of improvement. We've used it again today and rightly been punished by a side struggling for form - the tactics actually looked worse today than in any previous match. Why the substitutions didn't come in the first half at 2-0 (or even 1-0) I don't know. LJ has to shoulder a lot of the responsibility for this one for: 1) Trying to be too clever and picking tactics we aren't able to execute 2) Being too arrogant / stubborn to change it early enough when we might still have turned it around. Rant over - at least we're still up there and can be a capable side when the tactics are right.
  13. I've only seen Dieng in central defence once (think it was at Barrow) and he didn't win very many headers and looked quite uncomfortable. However, I think he's passed the ball quite well when I've seen him play in midfield. For that reason I'd stick with him playing infront of defence with the hope it allowed the more attack minded midfield players to get forward. Can't see this team ever happening as it would mean captain Kelly would be dropped. Rachubka B Wilson Kusunga J Wilson Elokobi Dieng Winchester Jones Dayton JCH Forte
  14. As the rules are written, that isn't a red card as he hasn't denied a goal. Personally I think it's a joke that it isn't a red card - I think it should be. But the FA have applied their own rules correctly. http://www.thefa.com/~/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/laws-of-the-game/11-v-11/interpretation-of-laws---2013-14/law-12---interpretations-of-the-laws-of-the-game.ashx
  15. Swindon fan's reactions on their team's performance:
  16. I can't help but feel that Barry is responding here to the vocal minority. In my view, as much as I like to hear from the club, the activity over the past couple of days doesn't warrant bringing forward any meetings with LJ or Corney. Before anyone wants to make this a slanging match what I'm going to say next isn't a personal attack on anyone. Evidently we have lots of fans on this forum who are obsessive, emotional and immature. Ok, I agree that some of those traits run side by side with being a passionate football fan and we all display them at times but seriously can't we get a grip? I made a similar post during summer because at extreme states of anxiety (now) or boredom (summer) fans make requests, or demands, wanting to know every little detail of the goings on at the club. It's not our right - simple as that. I don't expect it will ever stop as it's part of a greater desire for our club to improve but let's not get everything out of context. There is no crisis. We've sold a player who has demonstrated he has the potential and desire to play at a higher level. The club has financially benefitted from this and also ensured the talent remains with us until the end of the season. We've loaned out a young keeper who we all knew had been scouted by higher level teams. We've brought in the experienced striker lots of people have asked for and we've taken a chance on a couple of none league hopefuls who may or may not turn out to be inspired finds. No one on this planet knows how the recent window will turn out for the club, a ball hasn't even been kicked. I feel we have a club that DOES engage very well with it's fans and that's enough for me. We also have some fans who let their passion blind them to that.
  17. Apparently Dyche was at the Walsall game in the Directors box. (well directors seats anyway - it's hardly a box there
  18. I went back and looked again at the stats. Crimes reported as actual / grevious bodily harm, attempted murder and homicide = 12,000. So I ran the numbers again and get 44 mins per knife crime. Maybe they just missed a 4 off their headline?
  19. Just checked the ONS and last year there were 26000 knife related crimes in the UK. I make that one every 20 minutes but I can't say my maths will be right! (Or the figures from the office of national statistics)
  20. Disagree with the op. Whole team put a shift in and none of them deserve to be picked out and derided off the back of that game.
  21. It's interesting how differently people view the game. I thought it was a decent enough away point and if we can improve our home form then we'll be OK. I came away with a few thoughts: - We were extremely lucky to go in one up - Connor Brown was great (again) - he's been very good every time I've seen him this season, much improved. - Tarkowski was lost playing just in front of defense. Often he didn't know who he should be picking up and there was a significant amount of confusion over who should head the high balls. Early signs to me are the formation will only work in a very small number of circumstances. - Korey Smith has great leadership attributes, even when he doesn't have a good game. Today he was below par as far as an individual performance but I cannot question his work ethic and captaincy. - Petrasso was bright at times but without any real end product. - Could see their goal coming for at least 10 minutes - I'm not sure if we changed anything in that time to try and stop their full backs pushing so far forward but it didn't appear to me that we did. - Rooney is not a right winger. No criticism of his at all but I'd rather not see our players played out of position. - Injuries are hurting us at the moment (Dayton / Philliskirk)
  22. They also have odds on M'Changama being first goalscorer - didn't fancy the odds tho so I stuck my tenner on Roger Palmer.
  23. I've seen Rooney spurn quite a lot of good opportunities, even more worryingly he has not hit the target on most occasions. Like everyone else I am starting to question his abilities. However, I've not lost all hope just yet - mainly because I don't like to get on our player's backs. One observation my dad and I have made is that he seems to run an awful lot when we don't have the ball (closing down etc), but when we do have the ball he is very easy to mark due to a lack of movement. It's a positive that he is willing to work for the team but as a striker it's a peripheral skill - if he'd already scored 15 we wouldn't care whether he was closing their defence down. Also for a striker that seemingly likes it played to his feet, his first touch appears to be quite poor.Often Rooney is dispossessed easily and he is making it hard to see what he offers. In comparison I can count on one hand the number of times Philliskirk has given away the ball cheaply. When he's up top, it sticks and he usually finds a blue shirt. Philliskirk also seems to know where the net is.
