  1. I did my first one in a week, the second one took 3 months. That was hell
  2. Had a great day out at the Grand National last year, and felt I knew everything about horses by the end of the day (I was drunk by 9am so this was obviusly misguided). However I haven’t got a clue this year. I got "Hear the Echo" in my work sweep stakes, any good? Any good winner/ e/way punts?
  3. 1. Peter Crouch is the most underrated player in football. - Agreed, best player on the night 2. David James gives me panic attacks! My confidence in him couldn't be lower. That shot lept up a bit off the pitch (see 3.) but there's no excuse. His kicking was gash. - Agreed 3. I'm still ashamed of the pitch. Somewhere, at least a year ago now, I talked about how shockingly bad that pitch was and it still cuts itself quicker than a teenage goth. - Amazing stadium though, still haven’t been (wont be going this summer either now ) 4. Ashley Cole is the single worst player I have ever seen. He was awful. Gave the ball away leading to their freekick/goal and at least 20 times before/after that. Awful. Awful. Awful. -1 - I detest him as a person and player Good job I follow Holland
  4. Agree to disagree, though perhaps Im being a bit over the top, he's clearly very talented, Im just put off by the cloud of happyhappyjoyjoy that suround him. Sad for Rosberg who was equally as good before they came to F1 and was simply unlucky on the team he joined compared to hamilton. I absolutely agree on the F1 rules/results shambles though, this tinkering and rule changing although it mixes things up really gets on my nerves, especially as it has practically made the difference between who has won the season in the last few years.
  5. No he does have talent, he's just overhyped, and not very charismatic. As for putting cars into walls for no good reason, im sure you'll remember how that cost hamilton his crown the year before ;)
  6. 1) New Den - It's intense and highly enjoyable, hard to get a beer at HT though 2) Goodison - For that one time! 3) Edgerly Park - Easy to get to/from and good rivalry with my mates 4) Ellend Road - As above 5) Galpharm - As above
  7. As precited by your truly...http://www.owtb.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=22287&pid=242697&st=0entry242697
  8. I love Grand Prix, but hated the last few years with that highly irritating British kid getting all the press. Im happy as long as he fails this year. Button, Kubica, Vettel, Raikonnen & Rosberg and the guys I want to succeed, all with great genuine talent
  9. He's got the same size rear as Gregan
  10. I convinced my housemate that there's a goat exhibition in piccadily gardens outside Burger King at lunchtime, with rare and exotic breeds, and singing goats too Girls are just so stupid.
  11. Most medical reports published suggest smear tests for young girls (the only people who are bothered by this Jade individual it seems) are more harmful than the possible outcomes of not having one, anyone who looks into the matter (or listens to the real media, not SKY3 documentarys, the Sun and Now magazine) would know this. I have never met Jade and she has taken no positive actions in her life that have affected me, nor does this PR/smear test campaign have any positive effect on the society in which will live, perhaps probably more likely the opposite. I'm not in any way bothered about her death, and the few times I saw her on TV I thought she was repulsive in every single way, but as for anyone who loses a friend/family member I feel for her family, but not for long.
  12. Brilliant, even the Leeds fans would love one last go in Europe, it's not been that long since the halcyon Champions league semi days, but it's an age off ever getting back there! Every other supporter in the Uk would love to see Leeds get embarrsed, and Milan would get to keep their trophy and get rid of any speculation. Everyone is a winner
  13. They have a definite point. My solution... Lets the teams re-play, with today's teams, im sure the whole footballing world would absolutely love to see that.
  14. For the last 8 games, and for ther month of March itself we are ranked 24th in the league on results. Think that pretty much sums it up.
  15. Crap teams are to blame. Our record... .Pld W D L F A GD GFA GAA PpG Pts Rank Record v. Top Half 19 9 4 6 30 30 0 1.57 1.57 1.63 31 3 Record v. Bottom Half 21 6 10 5 29 26 3 1.38 1.23 1.33 28 20
  16. My opinion: Shez is the blame for tinkering with a winning, division topping squad, and getting in very average and very old loanees with bigger attitudes than the team in some cases, that's where I think the the problems started. I don't blame the players, they haven't created the obviously bad vibe around the changing squad, management mistakes caused that. That said, I dont think he should have been sacked and think he should have been given till the end of the season at least. At that point if he hadnt made the playoffs then sack him, if he had but didnt go up take a view of all possibilities at that point. I think the same for Hughes, whatever anyone says, he's still scored a lot of goals and has a lot of experience and class above a lot of those around him, I'd rather he have stayed till the end of the season as the teams we are playing arent pooing themselves at all about what we have to challenge them with as it stands now, hence why we are no longer in contention in my opinion. Now Shez has left I think we should see how Joe has shaken things up by/over summer IF he does stay on for a bit and then give him at least a season, who knows what is going to happen as far as money in/out of the club this summer and possible players in out at this stage, the last thing we need is a new managere every few months. All I know is that this is a pretty bad run that's putting a lot of fans off, hopefully Joe will have a big shake up before the end of the season and we can start next year with a clear head and sense of direction with a decent core squad of players. ...oh and come on Paul Scholes, do us a favour.
  17. 3-0 half time 4-0 full time Smalley, Taylor, Hazel, Allesandra
