  1. It's all a bit stupid, if you ask me, even 'though she does look in better shape than most of our squad. What I do find shocking, is the quote above. Have we gone back to the 1970's? Does anybody else think she looks like that Ronaldhino bloke? Could be him disguised as a woman, in which case, the whole thing could have been rendered a nonsense and we'd have been fielding the best player in the World.
  2. Our Broadband keeps cutting off and every time we get it back, it says the IP Address has changed. My Dad thinks either that something is interfering with the signal or somebody is hacking into it. Any suggestions. Please PM me if you can help. Thank You.
  3. I got all excited when I saw the headline, then disappointed when I realised I won't be there. My Valentines treat tomorrow is a shopping trip with a "nothing's too expensive" promise. Plus food, obviously. As we women can multi-task, I will be able to pick out some shoes and check on the progress/result via text courtesy of my Uncle (Liverpool fan, of all things) who will be at the match with my cousin. Welcome "Home" Pogs!
  4. If we don't get a 'keeper in tomorrow, Josh Bell has to play. It is inconceivable that Windass would be in net because it would be calamitous for Sheridan if we get hammered and it would surely put Bell's career off track following such a kick in the teeth. My little nit-pick is, I wish Sheridan had not publicly stated that he didn't think Bell was ready. There is no reason why he couldn't tell the lad in private and he probably has explained it to him. But, if he has to play tomorrow, he plays knowing that Sheridan thinks he's incapable and the fans know that Sheridan feels this way. Not good, confidence-wise. Hopefully, he would step up to the mark and do himself proud and Sheridan makes sure the defence play out of their skins to protect him. No stupid back-passes and plenty of communication. Meanwhile, the rest of the team defends from the front by laying siege to the Cobblers' goal.
  5. Well done to the Club it's a great idea and the kit looks great. As a woman, I hope I never have to use the facilities at the Victoria Breast Unit. Hopefully, this match will be released on DVD at the club shop afterwards as well, to help raise the proceeds. I will certainly buy it, even if it is just to see those big, hard men like Gregan, Hughes and Windass resplendent in Pink.
  6. Could be something to do with the building of the new stand. Straws...clutching....at?
  7. They look sky blue to me as well. Although they are Magic Scarves. Why would they be on the shelves before they are labeled and priced? Pedantic. Moi? Non!
  8. Millwall should've had a pen. More consistent refereeing. Draw would be the best result, but I've not been that impressed with either team. Ooops! 2-0 Leeds.
  9. Was it when Pine Villa became Oldham Athletic? I'm sure someone on here must have been around at the time.
  10. Wouldn't we just drop one place and keep a 5pt cushion over Leeds? Or am I missing something that's blatantly obvious?
  11. And if she saw your Avatar, you'd probably get a slap and be sleeping on the sofa. From a female point of view, if I was married to you lot, you would be in for a shock because I would rather go to the football. My walk in the park would have to be Boundary Park. A romantic meal could consist of a pie and a nice drinky. I might even wear something romantic a bit later on in the shape of a Latics top with some fancy trimming.
  12. Could have been more if he'd put that header in. Good for him.
  13. We were the obvious underdogs yesterday, in everybody's eyes and none more so than the "big club" orientated garbage spouters that barfed on about Leicester in the pre-match program. I thought the commentators were much more realistic and commented frequently about our players and generally were in love with Steve Howard, who I saw as a moaning whinger. I assume the Leicester fans were of the same mind and thought all they had to do was show up. A bit like Latics at Hereford. However, it soon became obvious, after Sheridan had sprung the surprise inclusion of "rated doubtful" Hughes and switched the wing players, that Leicester were not as cock-sure as they might have been beforehand. Same goes for their fans. In MY opinion, Latics played with passion and skill, commitment in the tackle and supportive of each other. No complaints, if we played like that more often, we may be in an auto spot by now. We're not, so now Sheridan has to prove his motivation skills and make them play like that every week. I don't buy into any "Leicester having an off-day" excuse. We were better than they expected us to be. This could be the catalyst for Leicester doing what Swansea did and start experiencing the self-doubt that sees them start to wobble. As for Derek, well he is entitled to his opinion, the only thing I found hurtful was his comment about Sky viewers. That really wasn't necessary, as we can't all afford to go to away games and for me, it was just nice to be able to see them on the road. Still, it is no excuse to insult Derek. So I won't.
  14. He'll be getting called "Taylor the Wailer" now.
  15. I'm sure T.V. gives you a better perspective than seeing it live at the ground. The ariel view allows you to see more movement off the ball and the benefit of the replay as well. I think it was deffo a penalty, the Leicester player clipped his foot. And I think the earlier shout where Taylor swan dived from just outside the penalty area had a bearing on it. What about Eardley, I thought he linked up well and made some good overlaps. Golbourne had the intelligence to keep up with play and made that spectacular clearance. It's all about opinions and we all see things different.
  16. Yes, there was, I could feel it coming in waves from the T.V. I thought the Latics fans were brilliant and made more noise and out sung that pathetic Leicester chant. Brought a tear to my eyes, or that may have been the wine.
  17. They also said we had the 4th smallest budget in the league, or was that Windass? Getting a bit hazy now. They were soooo pro-Leicester, it was like we had no right to turn up and put up a fight, or even maybe win it. I thought the actual match commentators were much more complimentary than the pre/post match team. Have I just made sense?
  18. Therein lies the problem. Would anybody be prepared to come for what will surely be one game? But, on the other hand, we will have cover until Crossley is fit for action. Then again, that is money that could be used elsewhere, i.e. midfield. But, then again, midfield (Maher's pass excluded) played a blinder tonight and might not need strengthening depending on how much belief and confidence is carried over from tonight. Controversial as it may seem, stick Josh Bell in or ask Windass to do it for one game, but, and it's a big but ( ) the defence has to play out of their skins to protect him. Much like they did tonight. As for Leicester not testing Windass, they never got a sniff and that's down to the Latics, not them. Sorry for rambling, the wine has flowed a bit too freely.
  19. But what about the ban? It leaves us short for Northampton and we will have to get a 'keeper in.
