  1. It looks different, yet the same. Like a car having a paint job or maybe some 'go faster' stripes on it. The buttons are definitely better and I like the banner design. All in all, it's quite nice.
  2. evertythingieverwantedfromafootballteamwithouthavingtoresorttosupportingtheredsc umdowntheroadthankyouverymuch
  3. All of the above are true, which leaves, and I really hate to say this, either the players are not listening to Sheridan or his management style is not effective. Hence, we struggle to put a winning run together either because of inconsistencies in the players' capabilities or Sheridan's management capabilities or a combination of both. Our season is suspiciously following a pattern which usually occurs/starts around the stupid transfer window, as players are linked with transfer speculation and we usually end up with panic signings/fiascos! Good article on the effects of the transfer window on lower league clubs
  4. Jason Jarrett has been signed by Brighton on a free. Would like to have seen him back here.
  5. You really don't like Davies, do you? Did you think he was crap last season when he banged in 14 goals?
  6. Our away form was good at the beginning of the season, got a bit patchy, but now seems to be in a complete dip! Sod's law just as our home form seems to be back on track.
  7. 14 goal top scorer last season. 6 goals in 13 at Stockport equates to about 22 in 46. He needs a good run in the side, or, maybe Stockport's game suited him better.
  8. Crap striker? How can you say that on the time he's actually spen't on the pitch for Latics this season?
  9. Agree with the Davies point. It's like Sheridan chose Alessandra on the strength of having scored the hat-trick against Scunny at BP. Davies must be well miffed, given his positive comments in the 'Chron. A kick in the teeth? Unless he's picked up a knock. It seems like our midfield is the weak spot. Maybe Maher should have started instead of Whits. Dunno until the people who actually went start giving their opinions.
  10. That'll be Gregan. This court case must be playing on his mind.
  11. Thought you mean't you didn't get it.......'till I read the post after yours. He's a dead ringer for whitts!
  12. Yes, and I should have got my facts straight before I went charging in! I'm just giddy from actually winning two in a row at BP.
  13. With all these bald players, we could really confuse a few of the other clubs.
  14. He also made a great clearance in the first few minutes that, had it gone in, could have resulted in an entirely different game and outcome.
  15. He's got to score soon! He was immense today and I hope he doesn't return to Hull with nothing to show for it. Actually, I hope he doesn't return to Hull at all, because he could be the difference in the season's outcome, especially if Hughes stays. Or am I getting carried away?
  16. Poor Lomax, he just can't win. I thought he had a reasonable, solid game without being spectacular and managed to get forward a bit. I think he works well on that flank, but will probably give way to Eardley next week. He should use the rest to strengthen himself mentally. Incidentally, the goal came from Stockports right and Golbourne missed it, thankfully, he made that early clearance otherwise it could have been two and he would have been up for some Lomax-type stick.
  17. Sorry, you've just committed the cardinal sin in some people's eyes! But I noticed you've only done a few posts. He got the boot a while back and it was commented upon on this forum. I think the majority of posters agree that Mike Yarwood had found his feet this season and was writing a humorous but well balanced view of the match. He certainly put the emotionally detached Bugby out in the shade. Maybe somebody at the 'Chron took a jealous dislike to his improved style and stuck the knife in. Like others before me, I don't even bother now, because it's just recycled garbage that he comes out with. Great idea to get Yarwood on board at OWTB (free of charge), maybe the official site would be interested.
  18. Spot-on. I'd be tempted to put Davies on up front alongside Windass - Stockport will have trouble looking after pace AND power. If it's not working, let loose with Hughes for Davies. Popular? No. Controversial? Yes. If I wanted to be absolutely sure, I'd build a 6ft brick wall between defence and goalie!
  19. Is he that new left back - Scott Gol(dfish)bourne. He'll have the plaice on it's feet!
