Blimey, it's 40 years since we signed "king of all Geordies" (born in Burton upon Trent) - if you've genuinely not been excited by any signing since perhaps it's time to find a new interest.

Dave owes me £70!!!! who's Dave!?
I'm Dave and so's my wife.

Not leaving until 5:30, whats the best way to get there in rush hour? M62 over to the M6 or on the M66?
M61

I just take opposition views fans on a player with a pinch of salt. The list is endless of players that move on after being rendered useless by their current clubs fans and go on to do well. Not least from our club.
Or the "Rooney effect" as it's often known.

It was phenomenal to hear it on LP..
Valencia almost as good as Latics tonight for the arrival of the bus.
Valencia just gone 2-1 up so maybe the support really does become the 12th man.
Warning. Loud.
Mental that. I had a few beers in that square watching a World Cup game a few years back. Bit quieter then.

I must have missed something in the few days I have been away.....I thought Palmer had turned out just twice for us...1 win I loss 1 goal scored........however I read on here that he has been canonised, called up for the England team, attracting Barcelona's attention.....there must be some bloody good judges on here if they can declare he is a top player after less than 2 games
Let's wait and see
Just like the good judges who've decided Holloway's crap in 2 games less.

Sorry Pete but I find it hard to be positive about signing a lad who can't get into Wycombe Wanderers', for gawd's sake, team cos his attitude and/or his performances are questionable. He wasn't even on Sheridan's radar up to his first choice targets falling through before the transfer deadline. It smacks of desperation though if he scores the winner tomorrow I'll revise my opinion.
You didn't want to sign Henderson either as he'd been released by Scunthorpe. Interesting that he is now at Coventry fighting for promotion. Perhaps you could supply a list of clubs you would be happy with us signing players from. We can take your opinion as read on future signings then.

You don't seem to understand the offence (from the Sexual Offences Act 2003)
A person aged 18 or over (A) commits an offence if
(a)
he intentionally touches another person (the touching is sexual, and©
either(i)
B is under 16 and A does not reasonably believe that B is 16 or over, or(ii)
B is under 13.If he genuinely believed she was 16 or above he is by definition not guilty of the offence. It is for the court to decide if this belief was genuine, he has admitted guilt therefore admitting he knew her age
I'm as familiar with the legislation as I need to be, I was merely questioning how the poster inferred he knew her age from the fact she was a season ticket holder and he was her favourite player.
I have a season ticket and I have a favourite player but I am also substantially over the legal age of consent.
I will admit that I'm not following court proceedings as voraciously as some so I won't comment further on occasional snippets.

He new she was 15. She was a Sunderland season ticket holder and he was her favourite player.
@JoshHalliday is reporting live from the trial and has tweeted updates today!
I'm not doubting what you're saying, he has admitted guilt after all but how does her being a Sunderland season ticket holder prove he knew she was 15 - did she show him her child season ticket?
-
Yep... And he will probably get less as I imagine the underage girl was 15 or 14 at the youngest (I have no knowledge of the case) which though by no means makes it right is viewed in law as less serious than a minor 13yrs or younger
She was 15

Remember the last time Sheridan signed a long-past prime, former England international striker?
To be fair Heskey was an England striker for some time not 1 cap. He was at his best alongside Owen wonder if we could tempt him back ;)

Indirect free kicks in themselves are a bit of a blast from the past. Hardly see them now.
-
He was a decent player Robins, pretty sure he played in the 3-1 travesty of a defeat to Liverpool in the 77 FA Cup but not sure if he played in the 1-0 win over United a few years earlier.

Ronnie Moore sacked by Hartlepool.
Hoof!

His agents are suggesting Lincoln might be interested. They appear to be worse than us, check the league table for confirmation.
Signed for Coventry then, but clearly not good enough for us ;)

Caption competition.....
Make sure he hasn't switched the friggin meter on yet Tommy.

I dont think the inland revenue would agree with that.
HMRC clearly have a right to inspect if they suspect anything is amiss. Given the losses accrued over many years I doubt the company is paying any Corporation Tax so unless they suspect the financial position is severely misrepresented it probably isn't even on their radar.

Why are fees grouped together? a proper audit would demand items are individualised. That's what happened where I worked, football clubs should be no different.
They're a small company, don't even need an audit which pretty much allows them to do what they want.

Err I'm not sure who I plagiarized then Wozzer, it's already out there, not my fault you didn't see it before you posted. I'll take the idiot charge though, I must be to have the temerity, (look it up) to post anything on here and expect not to be abused.
Er me! Let's leave it there eh, no fun having a battle of wits with an unarmed man.

A plagiarist (look it up) as well as an idiot. Congratulations Sir.
-
But we have only been allowed to borrow him, meaning he goes back to them most probably!
With Higdon and Henderson and Holt their clubs dont want them at all
Don't have a surname beginning with "H" then!
-
Yea, a guy who failed at Scunthorpe is just what we need.
They appear to be better than us, check the league table for confirmation. Our outstanding performer in the last 2 games isn't good enough to get in Burton's side. They're in our division too. It's not like we've millions to chuck around is it.
-
What about Darius Henderson released by Scunthorpe. Big target man. Being found not guilty of GBH might count against him, as might the fact he's not been an unqualified success at Scunny. Useful before that though.

Because on our wages he wouldn't be able to afford it.
