  1. Would that be Iain (jump from club to club and dont settle anywhere) Dowie? If he was that good he would be in the Prem with a stable club.....
  2. Not to mention that the corner would have never reached him anyway, it was never gonna get past the first man AGAIN!!!
  3. YAWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put your handbags away!!! As i recall, when this site first started it was a refreshing change from going on (cant remeber its name now, not JK, the other one) and reading drivel from wiggum and scunny fans. Seems to me that there is as much yelling at each other on here as fans v players at BP! Why dont you all go cyberkick 6 colours of cyber:censored:e out of each other then kiss and make up, because, if i'm allowed an opinion, its getting really boring.........
  4. Oh i love it!!!! Cant wait for that one, i can feel it in me bones!
  5. Oh god not more shuffling, theres not enough spots on this deck o cards as it is....
  6. I've been a supporter of the club since i can remember but i started going as a teenager back in the 80's, so i remember a big chunk of our days in the old second division. Theres been talk on here of us punching above our weight and i know this is only coming from memory - i really cant be arsed looking it up, feel free anyone - but i seem to recall all these teams being worse than us back in the day.... Donny, Crewe, Lashers, Bolton, Burnley, Preston - all in the old division 3 or 4? Leeds - also rans in our division? Blackburn - also in our division and no better than ourselves - granted they did get Uncle Jack in the 80's... Look at the teams that have yo-yo'd around the top of the championship in recent years. Wolves, Palcace, West Brom , Barnsley Watford - all nobodys.... To say we were punching above our weight is something of an insult to the club (imho). By and large a team achieves its success because it gets the right group of players together at the right time, who would have thought Henry Fleming Halle Barlow etc would have been the backbone of a succusful team when we first brought them in. The important thing is how you build on that success, which for me, is where we fail. I'm not blaming anyone, not managers, fans, players.... though i will say i agree wholeheartedly with (think it was Corporal Jones) about changing 6 or 7 players a season and filling the gaps with loan players will never give us any stability. Good thread, been an interesting read, we need more of this shiznit on here. KTF guys and gals.....
  7. So we'll buy him, he'll get injured, have one good season, get delusions of grandeur, then sod off and siht on us over a fee!!!! Excellent, get him signed! Lol.....
  8. Oh Liddel Schmiddel. He's not played since tranmoore away which is when our unbeaten run started. You can stick him in the same retirement home as our currently injured and overrated centre half for me..... Stick with the kids, they're coming good....
  9. We better hope and pray that there are no bats because i'm certain that as a protected species we wouldnt be able to move them. I listened to a guy on the radio telling how bats had taken over his house because he wasnt allowed to move them due to their protected species status. The weight of the droppings brought the ceiling down and they took over the first floor. He finished up living in the downstairs of his own house, beiing attacked by the bats every time he went outside! Guy was in tears....... Might be an idea to send a few 'volunteers' in to get rid of anything that may be 'protected' just to make sure they dont screw up our stadium plans!!!!
  10. You must have been at a different game to me then. I sat upstairs in the NSM and listened to them sing for nigh on 90 mins. The song about '15 points' seemed to go on forever. How the hell can you say they were quiet?
  11. It wouldn't matter who we put in what position upfront, cos they still wont bloody shoot!!! I've never seen a team so reluctant to have a pop at goal. I dont particularly agree with the comments about ricketts or davies or even lidds, watching him knock it past one of Leeds and run the other way round him was bliss..... What i do think is if we actually shot at goal, speculativley or not, we would score more goals. You cant score if you dont shoot. Nobody can put in a rebound if the shot wasn't taken in the first place. We cant get a lucky deflection if you dont shoot in the first place. No defender will panic and handle a ball on the line if its not there to handle..... Pattern? Oh yeah, and bringing on a sub when we're in full flow and pushing for a winner with a minute to go? Dont get it at all. Give the lad at least 10 mins to have a fair crack at the game or just leave him out. Late subs are designed to break up the opositions flow when you are up against it, not when you are going for the winner..... KTF
  12. God here we go again moaning about the lack of singing. I swear some of you on here dont go to watch football but just an outdoor X-Factor!!!!?????
  13. Frazer Eagle Stadium, thats gotta be one of the best names..... ALthough Droylsdens' Butchers Arms takes some beating.....
  14. Ha ha, i know its sponsorship, i just cant keep up!!!! Cant we have the old names in brackets?
  15. I vote for on here but it might lighten the fishal site up a bit.......
  16. Ooohhhh I reached 100!!!!!! Bazzin!!!!!
  17. Wouldnt that have been Send In The Clowns......
  18. Were the hell is the cable comms stand? Is that Rocky Road? Isnt Chaddy called Target or something like that? Whatever happened to Main, Ford, Chaddy End and Rocky Rd. People do like to complicate things (step forward Mr Hardy).....
  19. Yes i was kidding about the X Factor!!!!!!! If i had to choose between tickets for that or Tranmoore with an outright refusal meaning castration then i'd be leading the soprano's in the lookers paddock!!!!! Hmmm..... Cowell or M**re....... biggest ???????
  20. Havent we had a similair debate to this before? I still think we need something more menacing to run out to, not a bloody ditty played on a piccolo..... I always imagine the lads are gonna run out and start morris dancing or something......
  21. I agree with what your saying about the booing - no need at all, but not everybody wants to sing. At the end of the day (why did i just type that - i hate that saying!) people go to watch a football match and they shouldnt be made to feel unwelcome and that they're taking up someone elses place because they dont want to scream songs all through the match. As long as they shout encouragement and raise their tempo at crucial points then shouldnt that be enough? If you want to listen to some singing go watch the X factor...... P.s. I sing, just before anyone asks..... Keeping the faith......
  22. I remember one of the first games of last season, think it was Port Vale at home 0-0. Stam hoofed the ball forward every time it came near him, whether he had time and space or not. 3 or 4 games later and he was one of our best players (IMO). Dont panic, form ebb and flow like the tide but quality stays forever. KTF P.s. If Stam comes back and finds the form he had before his injury last season then problem solved!
  23. Just had a look through the 606 comments and although the majority of the board seemed to be in support of him - i'm surprised but pleased - there were a few comments worth note. One guy said it would be sweet karma if he got a carreer threatening injury in his first game, hope no players think that way or this could be a very short signing! One other guy mentioned that he had been banned after one of his first games, if not his first, for featherstone lags for physically abusive behaviour. Doesnt seem like he was feeling very remorseful there does it!
  24. According to BBC news 24 they spoke to Frisbee earlier today. He looks/sounds bitter about Hughes but he would never come on the tv and forgive him would he!!?? Also it makes me wonder if he's just looking for his next 15 mins of fame? I know that sounds awful and i dont mean the man any ill but we do live in a litigeous (spellcheck?) and money driven world dont we? Having it all dragged throughthe press again could well be a money spinning venture for him.
