Football is a results based business! Penny made a sub and we still won the game...you can't criticise that! If on the other hand, the substitution contributed to us losing the game then it is fair game to have a go at the manager. My personal opinion is if it looks like we going to be relegated to league 2, and at the moment I don't think we will, then we have nothing to lose but to get rid. However, I'll be happy to give Penney another season should we manage to starve of relegation. I do not, I repeat do not, wish to be playing in League 2 next season at all costs!!!

I was thinking along similar lines although alittle less ambitious. For example, the odds for us to stay undeafeted for the next 3 games. Maybe we'll get decent odds considering we're playing the top 3.

Colchester I think we could win. Leeds away, whos form is slightly on the dodgy side of late, requires a Charlton type performance which will result in a draw. At Norwich, as the form team in the league, we will lose, badly!

erm...wind your neck in chief. A use of language offends you, tough luck. never said Penney should be sacked but the ultimate responsibility has to fall with the manager as it is he who picked the team, tactics and is supposedly motivate the players. If it looks like we are going to be relegated, and I say it is on a knife edge at the moment, then we have nothing to lose by getting a new manager in. I do not want to be playing in league 2 next season, it will be much tougher then most believe to bounce back up.

erm, firstly I do not have the desire to count the players Penney bought in but I would bet it is the majority. Secondly, his players or not it his responsiblity to motivate them. Otherwise, the players do not respect him with is a much bigger worry. Thirdly, When Royle was in charge we were safe from relegation so he was hardly going to receive the same abuse was he.
